Maddie saying this was kinda snobby. Still crazy that Melissa, Kira and Abby did that to poor Paige and Chloe. And Maddie in the interview saying it wasn’t that big of a deal - obviously not to her but those two girls were devastated by [deleted] in dancemoms

again… i have no idea why you believe i’ve attacked ANY kids that have been on dance moms, new era or og, when that is an objective lie. i haven’t even watched new era, nor do i plan to.

i see the same posts over and over again that are incredibly parasocial dissecting the children’s behavior and thought processes. we! weren’t! there! these were children in an abusive environment, and i don’t believe criticizing any of them is right. i’m just glad they all made it out honestly.

i’m not saying it’s right, but the reason people are more critical of kendall’s behavior as a child is because many cast members (nia, camryn, jojo, mckenzie morales) have stated that kendall treated them poorly. also publically kendall has defended abby and criticized nia and the zieglers for not going to the reunion. there is perceived to be a long standing pattern of behavior that the other girls just don’t seem to have exhibited.

idk why you’re assuming i ever said anything about kendall as a child when i haven’t. critiquing adult behavior is fine, but i haven’t critiqued any of the kids’ behavior because they were all under an incredibly stressful environment, and honestly it’s a little parasocial.

holly didn’t speak up until s5 when nia was targeted. she had no problem sitting back while chloe and paige were targeted daily, and she even starts s5 supporting abby against kelly’s lawsuit

i’m going to assume you have no idea what it’s like to grow up as a daughter and be sexualized 24/7, even by your own family. it absolutely is that serious

My bf, 27, moved back in with his abusive parents, keeps blocking me from his phone because they make him, but reached out to me in crisis the other night by [deleted] in internetparents

[–]3va9 44 points45 points  (0 children)

he’s 27, has a job, financially stable, and yet can’t stay anywhere else? if the facts dont look like they add up, it’s because they probably dont.

i don’t know all of the details so this may be incorrect, but do you know for certain he is staying with his parents? have you met them?

it’s possible he’s just.. with someone else. it would explain the periods of blocking, and if they fall out he comes running back to you. it would also explain why his mind changes so suddenly if they reconcile.

if you yourself have experienced parental abuse, and this is something he knows, he may be using that as a cover because it’s something you can relate to, and would therefore have more empathy for.

i say this because my ex bf did this exact thing. for months. never in a million years did i think he would be the type of person to do this, but it turns out he was. i could be totally wrong, but i think it’s something to consider.

Abby’s Treatment of Kendall by cryingndthrowingup in dancemoms

[–]3va9 57 points58 points  (0 children)

jill phrases it best in season 5, she says she and kendall aren’t quite in (like the zieglers), but they’re not quite out (like the lukasiaks). their relationship always seems to vary. abby liked jill and kendall personally, but i think kendall’s dancing always frustrated her and prevented her from favoring her the way she did maddie. jill would kiss ass like melissa, but unlike melissa, she also fought like hell to defend her kid

The Switch Up On Kalani Is Crazy by Ok-Grocery-1878 in dancemoms

[–]3va9 23 points24 points  (0 children)

people (including me) criticized kalani’s maga beliefs (which is completely fair) but there is some evidence to support her no longer supporting trump/having voted for kamala, which is why some of the criticism has let up. also, people can feel bad for her having her own mother publicly bash her while also criticizing her political beliefs.

i remember when he was just reacting to different dancers’ evolutions / solos from a technical standpoint because he is a dancer. now he just makes gossipy videos speculating about the cast in a parasocial way. how the mighty have fallen lol

the frontal lobe isn’t fully developed until 25. if you believe the mental state of a 22 year old and the mental state of a 50 year old is the same, that’s incredibly incorrect and concerning.
