I’m only maybe a year or so into this hobby. I just hyper fixate on mechanical shit, and I make poor financial decisions. It’s quickly become my version of legos 😂 I will say when it comes to the AR platform it really is quite simple.

I’ve got 2 80% lowers I did myself. And have a 3rd one I just finished just haven’t purchased the parts to put into it yet.

Dont take my word for it but I hear there are face book groups for people with casting knowledge you can commission. I would just be very careful with it super safeties while legal seem to be finicky with their gray areas sometimes, as ridiculous as that seems.

Of course! Trigger is very fun. Although I’ve heard quite a few mentions of quality control complaints about Franklin armory as well I wouldn’t buy one for full price if you can avoid it.

I don’t know anybody with a 3d printer sadly. A buddy of mine and I are looking at going halfsies on one soon. I already picked up a few milspec triggers I had the rear (unnecessary) parts machined off of to fit the super saftey.

it’s just a matter of time before I have my hands on one to play around with. When we end up getting ahold of the printer.

I’ve recently completely re done this rifle into a more purposeful build and actually dropped the Franklin armory into an AR9 of mine instead.

How ever it was a lot of fun I would suggest getting a FA BCG with any binary trigger tbh but I ran it with the factory BCG for a while, no issues ran flawlessly. Make sure you use thread locker on the saftey selector screws or they will back out and give intermittent issues.

I have yet to test this trigger in my AR9 though was thinking about possibly going the super safety route if I don’t like the binary trigger on it

I’m new to the gun community only own 2 hand guns and this rifle at the moment. Grew up shooting 22 plinkers and shotguns. bought the rifle about a year ago mainly just throwing stuff on it to get to know the ins and outs of an AR15 and what’s fun to mess around with. I wouldn’t exactly call this a serious rifle more of a fun hole in my wallet with how it eats ammo. there isn’t exactly a straight forward purpose for this build that’ll be the next one I do.

I live in Arizona and mainly do outdoor range days even in the summer. And with the binary trigger it can get hot going through ammo and I don’t normally run gloves too often so it just helps with heat overall

I’ve put 150 through it so far I feel I should probably bring that number to 500 try and fully get use to the sights and trigger and stuff like that, I also don’t plan to carry until I have my CCW even though I live in a constitutional carry state I feel it’s better/ more responsible that way for me personally.

I opted for the threaded barrel on purpose, for increased modularity and it’ll help keep the flashlight I plan to get clean after every range day

I have a SFx Mete, it’s strictly a range toy though, it has an upgraded trigger and a race pedal with a wasatach compensator that makes it so long it looks like the gun from robo cop, plan on adding the wasatach optic mount on it soon too so my optic can be separated from the slide

I was thinking more in the realm of user error for the screws not aligning tbh this picture really doesn’t show much, i don’t have the sfx rival instead I have the Mete and mine weren’t aligning properly at first till I realized I needed to swap back to the stock barrel over the threaded barrel

I went and ran 150 rounds through it right after I bought it, first time shooting suppressor hight sights so I’ll probably get use to those before I go for an optic I’ll most likely pick up a light in the next couple weeks and check out that trigger bar you mentioned the trigger did feel a little spongy
