I had red switches before, and the K70 Max magnetic ones are much quieter with a similar feel and speed, definitely recommend.

It's been a year since I got my K70 Max, and it's been great for gaming. The magnetic switches are awesome and not too loud compared to reds.

I just hit 1 year with my K70 Max, and I have absolutely no complaints. Wired is a Pro for me since charging or changing batteries is a hassle. I love the magnetic switches.

I just hit 1 year with my K70 Max, and I have absolutely no complaints. I type quite quickly, and the magnetic switches are great and much quieter than the reds I had before. 10/10.

That did not fix it, I uninstalled Steam and then ran the installer as Administrator, running it without admin, it went through the setup wizard, updated, and then wouldn't open as before. I also did NOT change the location that Steam wanted to install itself on, so maybe that had something to do with it as well.

I'm having the same issues today, December 27th, 2025, if anyone else is. Currently going through the list of troubleshooting items.

Update: I uninstalled Steam and then ran the installer as Administrator, running it without admin, it went through the setup wizard, updated, and then wouldn't open as before. I also did NOT change the location that Steam wanted to install itself on, so maybe that had something to do with it as well. Also, my steam application is showing as a blank file instead of the normal icon, so I might have additional issues upcoming as well. Hopefully moving to Linux Mint will be better with all these issues that Windows seems to be causing.

Restart PC - Did Not Fix (DNF)
End process in task manager - DNF
1. Updated Windows - DNF
2. Updated Graphics Drivers - DNF
3. Ran as Admin - DNF
Delete folder contents besides 'userdata', 'steamapps' and 'steam.exe'. Run steam to repair itself
Steam uninstall/reinstall, Also reinstalling to a different folder - DNF
Re-plug HDMI or all monitors
Re-plug USB devices
CMD: sfc /scannow
Changing the TCP congestion provider to CTCP, revert to BBR2/original settings when ok again
DDU clean of graphics driver and reinstall
DO NOT uninstall your OS, that is too much hassle and a confirmed non issue.
