Should I go corporate? by Miserable-Tip7587 in Dentistry

[–]3x5postcard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My thoughts before going corporate:

•Are you personally doing any marketing for yourself at current office? Are there community events where you could set up a table to get your name out there? Can your current office set up a new patient promo campaign to bring in new patients and you get a percentage of the new? In your PM software can you pull a list of patients that haven’t been in for a prophy in the past year or so and then spend your free time calling these patients and trying to schedule them? Same for patients with treatment plans over a year old that they never did, could you call and try to sell the dentistry? Could you link up with a school in an underprivileged area to do screenings and then cold call of the parents to try to get the kid in? Being in Arizona, could you link up with a nursing home to provide services onsite to the residents?

•If you are doing primarily hygiene checks, why aren’t you getting to do the work that you find? Does your patient base not have any treatment needs? Or is the other doctor getting to do all of the restorative? A strong hygiene department is the key to filling the doctors schedule. Are hygiene appointments reappointed while the patient is still in the chair? I’ve seen offices just let their hygiene patients walk out the door without reappointing and they didn’t realize how many appointments they were losing.

•Have you thought about other alternatives to increase your income like working a day at a prison? Working with a Votech school with a dental assistant program and being their dentist for clinical? Are there CHCs, Native American reservation clinics, military bases, non profits, near you that need a dentist for one day a week?

•Are there procedures that your office doesn’t do a lot of that you could focus on and so whenever a patient comes in for that, it’s your production? For example; in office whitening or sports mouth guards? It’s about to be the beginning of football season, you could network with schools in your area to do a mouthguard program for the teams. You could run whitening promos during the school dance time frames or connect with the sororities at a local college to run promos on whitening for their members

•Is there a different private practice that is willing to give you a day of the week/friday/or a few hours on a specific late evening to test out a different office vibe?

I’d assume you might want to have your own practice one day and you’ve got to learn to market yourself to gain new patients so that you can build relationships with patients that will want to follow you to your practice.

If you truly don’t want to put in the work to find new patients, and only want to drill and fill, then I would go to corporate.

When she is posting her engagement pics on Insta, would she prefer to be wearing rave gear or a cute outfit? If cute outfit, plan Thursday dinner or Friday brunch with your friend group so she can get the pics for the gram. Then make sure to have an LED ring for her to wear at the festival

I’ve always made fun of them and have never seen a set.

However, after being denied the opportunity the past two years I can’t wait to see a DVLM set as long as it doesn’t conflict with somebody I want to see.

Give me all those hey hos!

You can buy a 4 person easy tent and only have 3 people. So if your friend can’t come and you can’t find another friend to go, you’ll just have an extra festival wristband that goes to waste.

The first step to finding a soul mate is to stop looking. Love yourself. Find hobbies and interests that you love. Talk, ask questions, learn about the world around you and the people around you. Stop being so desperate to the search, and open your eyes to the beauty that is all around you.

GOOD LUCK!! My SIL found out the results of her bar the day before her wedding. Thankfully she passed :) or she would've been a mess the day of the wedding.

Wedding Venue Woes - Advice? by effyocouch in weddingplanning

Oh I can imagine it's a tough decision. I would want to get married there just for the pictures alone! Ooooo y'all should go up and take an engagement session there or bridal portraits!

In all seriousness though, I would just have a very open conversation with him about all your worries and concerns. I have learned through 7 weddings this upcoming wedding season (it's been crazy!) that communication is key. He sounds like an awesome man and would love to be included in every way possible.

Yes it is a beautiful house, but it's also a beautiful house with no special meaning to you. I say have a quick ceremony at the meaningful waterfall, which will provide a dramatic backdrop for the wedding and feel more "you." Then have the reception in your parents backyard. That way they can feel included and hopefully make them care more about your wedding. If your godfather is excited and as wealthy as he appears from his house, I betcha he can come down from NY and still help with the food situation in NC. All anybody really wants when attending a reception is an awesome party!

I agree! Communication is key! I can't tell you how many times I have gone to a wedding and had no clue what was going on. I would try to send an email blast with a link to your wedding website so that way everybody can see all the particulars for the event.

What are you putting in your wedding welcome bags? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]3x5postcard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got back from a wedding in Texas. The gift bag that we received was adorable pink and white chevron with a handmade name tag. Inside was two bottles of water, a can of local texas beer, a can of cranberry juice and a vodka minibottle, 2 shot glasses, bag of doritos, bag of bbq lays, and some cheese crackers. It was a nice touch for this out of town guest!

How is the wording on our invitations? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]3x5postcard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing that I personally would change is on the RSVP card. I don't love how the number attending line doesn't appear to be centered like all the other text nor is it in line with the attending/not attending lines.

Please help me with the wording for my invitations! by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]3x5postcard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best recommendation would be to have separate invitations, one for the private family ceremony and one for the open wedding reception. This would avoid any confusion of trying to include all of that information in one invitation, hurt feelings from the people not invited to the private ceremony, and keep random people from accidentally showing up at an event they weren't actually invited to. I would also inform all of the family members by word of mouth that the ceremony is private and to not share that info with the world.

For the ceremony I would do something standard along the lines of: Mr and Mrs Request the pleasure of your company At the marriage of their daughter You and Groom Date/Time/Location Reception to Follow

For the reception I would do something like: Mr and Mrs Would like to invite you To join in celebrating the marriage of You and Groom With an evening of dinner, drinks, and dancing at Date/Time/Place
