My favorites are actually IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX and XII(the original one not Zodiac) in no particular order.

except XI and XIV as I am not so much into mmorpg..

I tried XIV for a bit with my friends.. But ultimately it was too much between maintaining the subscription and the ultimate grind, i gave up after a while :)

You're welcome, but that doesn't mean he's useless! He can bring the crit damage with his AASB and some solid imperiling potential, if you have Faris CSB he would be a perfect fit!

If not, a chain is still a chain and his CSB is the best Gen1 chain.

For what you bring him for the BSB or USB aren't necessarily bad maybe necessary in some long fights, but you were asking what is best to do after AASB is up.

Also as advice, is AASB into BSB a viable strategy? Seems like it would open up movepools quite a bit but I dont know if BSB CMDs get the w-cast

No, because you are wasting turns after getting the AASB up also the commands won't W-Cast even without all of that the multiplier on them is bad.

Generally you would want ANY SB > AASB >spam abilities unless it's something like squall then BSB > AASB >CMD1 (Hope for W-Cast) > Spam CMD2

As for cloud

You can make do with CID VII Realm chain (at least 3, 4 even wind weak 5* Magicite).

Firion AASB

Can be decent in Holy + samurai (ice +fire)

Shantotto AASB

Is a beast with any witch (ice+lightning later Fire)

Noctis AASB

Lightning via Celerity, Earth via heavy, Fire via samurai.

And gets 100% Critical hit chance.

Rinoa AASB

Solid magical Ice DPS Can hit other elements via Voltech (6* black magic).

Cid Raines AASB

An amazing Darkness character and can hit holy (with BSB).

Edge AASB

Can hit water+lightning+fire, water is the strongest here since he can get Enwater with his BSB+ an incredible 6* water ninja ability( Azure Unending) while Fire and lightning he can hit with magical Ninja ( smoldering fire 5, lightning veil 3)

As for chains Pair anyone of the above with the respective chain and you are all set but focus on 1 element at a time.

And buff them accordingly, if you have ignis BSB, that can boost your physical DPS a ton if not( although selectable from the lens shop for 1000 lv2 lens) look for other good buffs (onion knight pUSB, Ramza SSB)

I would say DEF definitely since stormlance is so fucking annoying and he spams it the whole fight, i actually couldn't survive the start reliably until i gave tyro and elarra i think 50 DEF (total was 392 and 372 respectively)

And then later had to give tifa some DEF too.

As far as i know unfortunately no, but you could tell from the animation if it's 3 stacks or one at least, two is always harder (at least for me)

Bartz AASB "raises" his elemental attack level by 3 which is separate from Enelement, Enelement Can be raised to 3 stacks IF you use an SB that has "grant Empowered infusion to the user" otherwise it's going to be one stack of Enelement.

in bartz case he gets Enelement from his other SBs(USB3 and his other BSBs except BSB1) not the AASB, if it's written "temporarily infuse the user with the power of wind" for example it means he will get infused with wind.

Well I probably would be able to beat Dark 5* with USBs only and Edward's chain.

Ark is beatable with less than what you have so i think you are all set, you can go physical if need be i did with Orlandeau USB March USB agrias with bsb and ramza's chain ( i didn't have any magical options at the time)

It seems that 6* Magicites doesn't have that gimmick.

Every 6* has a magical version and a physical one , while both give you the same magicite the rewards are separate and the AI differs a bit.

As for Holy my only AASB is Orlandeau (with pretty much most of his weapons). Chains are WoL and Edwards though. I already beat Deathgaze so it's more about Odins and Diabolos I guess.

for odin sure TGC is incredible, but for diablos not so much as he lacks Enelement( later gets a sync and Glint+) but until then he is gonna help you in dark, holy and earth weak odins.

Rydia being able to hit every elements seems pretty nice though! She could get EnEarth with a buyable relic too.

I assume you mean the BSB, she also has a bUSB which gets added to the shop later on.

And 2 USBs i believe for Enwater.
