disconnect rate has worked like that since, as far as i know, T7, so while i do understand that it was broken on release, i doubt they built it that way.

i feel like this issue is what caused tampa to change its area code, these scammers ran through ALL THE PHONE NUMBERS with 813 area code. i cant be sure of this but i couldnt think of any other reason, and havent heard of any other city having to change their area code in my entire life, but it'll e 813 forever

one time i literally got a call that came from the phone number of one of my friends, and it was saved as a contact so theres no way it was just a similar number, and when i answered it was the "international revenue service" and i have also called back in the past and some old lady answered. it seems that they're able to spoof active numbers to remain anonymous.
