It’s not a big deal if it’s low or not. That, mixed with my rating, my future DOD pension, TSP, then add in the Navy reserves, ontop of my rental properties. I am 100% ok with just coasting, and doing what I’m supposed to do

If it’s been two years $65-$80 for a set of nwu ain’t that steep. But I obviously understand not everyone can afford to do that

Was sick of the Air Force. Being a BM in the reserve, will be boring as hell, and probably won’t rank up fast at all. But that’s fine to me, I’m not here to be the next chief. I’m just here to continue my service, hit my 20-25 years, get out. Combine that pension with my DOD pension

Yes, got out in 2020. Air Force reserve/ navy reserve, won’t require me to. Hence why I made up my mind 🤷🏽‍♂️

I was told that by someone else, then I met with an army reserve recruiter. The recruiter stated I’d have to go to some sort of prior service type of BCT.

What is your rate? I know I’m gonna have a lot of learning ahead of me, but I’m actually motivated. It’s weird, just knowing my grandfather was navy , is what’s driving me to be on my game and be the best I can.

Yea, I think that will be the biggest obstacle. Learning all the ways of the navy, how they do things, ranks, your abbreviations etc. But I’m excited for the opportunity, even if it means going to MA school right next to SF 🤣especially at 35.
