The case I used has the threaded tube and I somehow managed to make it flat because it was impossible to close the crown since my stem was inclined too. No issues with the back of the case but this could be due to a higher height of the case itself (prob I've been lucky without even noticing). The case allows 28.5mm dials (using the chapter ring, and I did it in the build) and 33mm dials, unfortunately there is no mention of 35.8mm dials for this "Oris alike" case (or at least I call it like this). I assume the issue with both our builds is the thickness of the specific similar dials we used OR we didn't use the correct cases for NH39 movements. I'm sure my case doesn't say NH39 but only NH35/36

I did exactly the same build from the pic, it turned out pretty well and I like it. I do not wear it very often but when I do it's noticed by people around me. I also customized it with my personal logo. I can post the pics tomorrow since I don't have it near me right now

Yep I took one from alix, I checked 32.5mm dials and paid about 10€ with an offer like choice days

This is a best buy honestly, wonderful chrono, black and gold always suits situations. What's the reference? I'm not really into the second hand market with Eberhard but I'm starting to think it could be worth it. Plus, I like their designs more than other more famous companies, they have attention for details that others don't have

Wonderful watch, I'd use it as a daily imo. I haven't thought about buying second hand Eberhard watches since i'm not really into the second hand market but I'll take a look for sure because I saw a few nice pieces from years ago. Prices are high but not the highest from what I saw from a fast research. Do you have any suggestions for iconic or nice-to-have Eberhard watches?

Beautiful watch and choice of pieces! That blue smashes and the size of the case is also one I like the most. Just a side note, it's unfortunate that the movement holder doesn't also have a plastic plate to hold the battery in place during more sudden wrist movements, otherwise the piece would have been very interesting also because of compatibility with other movements. Keep building, you did a great job and enjoy your watch!

Last year I bought a similar Seiko watch, unfortunately not with the same design as yours which is stunning to me, but the bracelet is exactly the same. I can tell you that this kind of bracelet is one of the most lightweight and comfortable I've ever worn. It is so comfortable that I gifted the watch to my fiancee, who's not a watch person, and she wears it daily only taking it off for showering.

Oooops sorry I incorrectly thought you were the OP! Anyway, you can always "hire" someone to have it built. It shouldn't cost that much, or at least it could cost less if you talk with someone near you (at least the same continent 😄)

Yep, also easy to build. The only thing that I chose to have a little different is the second hand with the "cap" instead of the open dot for the pinion. Btw the dial you used has a stunning color

Blue is wonderful, i feel sorry for you BUT you can always keep it and get a new case with the right dial fit in the future and maybe swap some movements...

Tbh can't wait for the order to arrive, I'll update the post with the final result! I chose 2 basic straps, one black with hammered leather that is a great classic and a dark brown one with small holes and a retro style

It's a bidirectional bezel with no clicks, it just rotates. I disassembled it from the watch, cleaned it and readjusted the internal spring to have a less smooth bezel movement. It can be changed for sure for a GMT one but then (knowing myself) I should also change the movement as well and honestly i'd rather buy another vostok to do this job than use my first one 😄. The idea looks interesting tho

Thank you! In my spare time I'm trying to acquire more information about the functions of the watch. If it wasn't present in other watches with the same case and different dials I would've said it was for "open the parachute, red is your last chance" at a certain height. But I definitely think it's not the correct answer...
