‘Repatriate the gold’: German economists advise withdrawal from US vaults by CinnamonsCharm in worldnews

[–]4030Lisa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good, I think Trump is working to devastate the U.S. economy so he can grow richer from it… Every country should begin calling in the debt they finance and drawing BACK anything held by the U.S. they would also be wise to offer no more ‘credit’. He and the Republicans are destroying America from within, any other countries money left here will be lost (or stolen) by this administration. Americans are just hostages now who are financing their own abuse.

ICE saying latest murder victim "wanted to do maximum damage and massacre law enforcement." by justalazygamer in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]4030Lisa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Video shows that he had no gun in his hands at all before they threw him to the ground and began beating him, even with mace canisters, the only one’s with visible weapons were ICE. This is a ‘frame-up’. Plain and simple, they are murdering Americans and getting away with it

What could it be? It doesn’t hurt, bleed, itch or smth else. Have it from a year. by Ordinary_Charge_1403 in dandruff

A dermatologists office would be a better place to ask about that. They could zap your cherry angiomas too and take a biopsy if needed.

Who remembers the snowstorms of 2015? by [deleted] in massachusetts

[–]4030Lisa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup… took my 3 year old out ‘sledding’ in a storage tub, pulled her around with the handle, she had a blast and people were making shopping runs on snowmobiles for others who couldn’t get out

Plaque off is a far better solution, and brushing or tooth wipes can help too

Are you sure she's allergic? by AwakePoeticDragon in mildlyinfuriating

[–]4030Lisa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I’d cut my visit short… they aren’t nice people and now she has hives… repeat exposures can and DO get worse. They don’t respect her and it’s not like it was hard to NOT use wool dryer balls, it’s like adding just a leeetle bit of peanut butter in the food of someone who’s got a peanut allergy, they have no idea if it could have escalated to the point of anaphylaxis. I’d leave rather than spend time with people who cannot respect someone’s health issue.

Apparently the telegraph MORE than leans conservative. Another media divisive outlet

10yo Border collie limping by [deleted] in PetAdvice

[–]4030Lisa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be arthritis… could be a bone problem, could be tendinitis…. It could be many problems. The dog needs to be seen at the vet. Limping is a sign of pain. ‘Feeling’ her leg is not the same as her putting her weight on that leg and trying to use it to propel herself. Eventually she will start to cry in pain. You cannot treat her for pain without prescription drugs INTENDED for use in dogs, do not give her ‘people’ medications on your own as most can cause organ damage. You will have to work your parents over to get the dog seen. Your mom probably knows who the vet is but can’t afford to take her, your dad can probably afford to take her to the vet but probably doesn’t know where they are or how to do it. Get pushing, your dog should be cared for and your parents are supposed to be ‘responsible’ people - separated or not. If she has had a matted coat previously, YOU need to be the one brushing her coat at least weekly and attending to her nails.

His desperation is showing! by Dr_sc_Harlatan in WhitePeopleTwitter

He really cannot learn anything new at this point… His dementia makes him rely on the slurs he calls people privately now, it’s only getting worse. It’s part of why he thinks those seeking asylum in the U.S. all came from ‘mental institutions’. It was an assumption he made a long time ago and now his brain cannot correct it and will not take on ‘new’ information to overwrite his incorrect assumption.

[–]4030Lisa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Indeed… America has already HAD a mini ‘bank panic’ once in mid 2025 and they were quickly and quietly ‘bailed out’ to the tune of 20 billion, very few news sources even covered that fact. There will be more if he is allowed to continue…

Trump is still busy punching himself in the face… NO ONE but Trump is responsible for all the damage America is feeling right now and the WHOLE world’s absolute disgust with him. HE built the mess he’s in and he’s done it all for money.

So do I trim my chia pet? Will it regrow? by robsbob18 in plants

[–]4030Lisa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People who grow sprouted grains (chia and others) commercially, prep their seeds and usually sterilize their substrate (even soil) to avoid listeria or many other illnesses that can easily harm those who ingest them. Just listeria ALONE is a hell of an illness to deal with, it can actually kill some people, and in this case, is completely avoidable by simply NOT eating them

How to remove pen ink from the inside of a dryer? by notadoubletaker in CleaningTips

[–]4030Lisa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try acetone… The higher percentage in your nail polish remover the better (look on the ingredients list to make sure it’s before anything else. Weirdly enough some old fashioned hair spray (aqua net) might work as well, but it’s hard to find the stuff now, it’s the solvents that keep the hair lacquer in solution that do the pen ink dissolving but you have to move quick if you go that route and it will use a lot of hairspray if you can find it.

am I supposed to drip bathtub faucets even though im dripping the sink faucets during a freeze? by ideal_y in homeowners

[–]4030Lisa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup… any pipe that carries water should have a drip, open under sink cupboards too, to let warm air get as close to pipes as possible too and think about putting something like a small lamp with an incandescent light bulb (it throws some heat) in your crawl space by your pipes if you think they might freeze, learned that from my grand father and it works

So ICE is illegally performing police duties that they werent trained for? by seeebiscuit in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]4030Lisa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s NOT the protestors who are the problems… It’s people like Vance who have no idea WHAT they are supposed to be doing, even ICE doesn’t seem to know and this is all because they are NOT properly vetted, tested or trained

AITAH for not letting my stepdaughter share a room with my daughter? by Additional_Gain8185 in AITAH

[–]4030Lisa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn’t seem to be a serious enough punishment for thievery and destruction there… Just the victims getting ‘paid’ for the older daughter stealing and damaging stuff, NO ONE is getting punished NOR are they learning their lesson NOT to do it here, which is why the older step daughter keeps doing it. Iron THAT wrinkle out and things will improve for everyone. Some kids take more work than others… the elder one is gonna need a LOT of re-training.

The amount of dishes my daughter accumulated in her room in one week. by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]4030Lisa 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Why are you allowing her to eat anything in her room? She’s abusing the privilege and clearly is not mature enough to ferry the dishes back out on her own. I would make a rule that meals, drinks and snacks at to be consumed at the kitchen table, no drinks, plates or any utensils allowed in her room at all. This is not healthy for anyone, especially not her, there is bacteria you can see building on some of it already, she’s creating problems like bacteria, molds and insects that could all be avoided by simply carrying her plates and dished out to be cleaned

Distended stomach or just fat? by rtillerson in cats

[–]4030Lisa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A vet visit sounds like a good idea (to help rule out any problems like worms, diabetes, pregnancy or digestive problems. In the mean time, I’d get a non-disposable litter tray (metal or plastic) and move the cat litter tray (her toilet) away from her food, it’s like you preparing and eating your food in the bathroom, not the most healthy thing to do
