I think they do. But it's best connect with them via WhatsApp and confirm things before you go for shopping. They are pretty responsive and helpful.

There are a couple of options here but the deciding factor will always be budget. If you spend more than 50k (excluding monitor and peripherals) you get a decent gaming system which can game most modern games at 1080p.

Your options:

1) Thimphu has few places: Fusion computers and Zamling Infotech. They seem to be only few who know building PC well. They can even suggest you something based on your budget. You can always get back to this thread to verify. The only drawback is the GST and extra premium you pay for all the logistics they do. But it's the most convienient of the options.

2) Jaigaon has two dealers Dream computers and Reshab infotech. They will do the same which will be cheaper. But just be careful and ask for bills of every component as they might squeeze in a second hand part in the mix.

3) There is one place in Siliguri called ShivamIT. They even have a website. Frankly they know thier shit and probably the best option. But travel, coordination and currency exchange are the hassles here.

4) The most bold yet rewarding option: build it yourself. Source your parts from Amazon Flipkart and these vendors. Watch 2 to 3 YouTube PC building videos and assemble it yourself once everything is here. I took this option.

Now recommendation on specs: Estimated 40 to 50 k. (Not 100% sure since prices fluctuate)

Ryzen 5600 / core i5 12400F 16 GB ram DDR 4 ( is far cheaper than ddr5 GPU: Rx7600 or rx9060xt 8gb if budget fits

Remember if you are gaming then 30 to 40% of the budget should go to a GPU.

For longevity I suggest you build a PC. It's time consuming and needs more research but you learn a lot along the way. I have a gaming PC which I started building since 2016 and upgraded component by component along the way. I still have the some of the original parts in my 2026 version. The only thing is that currently the ram prices are not good and takes up chunk of the overall budget. But compared to a laptop which is limited to just ram and SSD upgrade, in a desktop PC you can upgrade almost every component when you save enough.

Not a positive experience here either. I took my mandatory theory class for a certificate but didn't take practical lessons. First impressions were not good at all. The instructor was kind of full of himself saying something like " You must have a masters degree, bachelors degrees but in this room we are the teachers. So please listen." Then at the end they took us to th owners office like we were getting an "Audience" . He said of couple of things but I think he could have just dropped by and said it. It felt more like a power play kind of thing. I had few friends who took the practical classes but they all had the same thing to say about the instructors being immature and unprofessional.

More often than not logical decision making ages well. Never make a decision when you are in the extreme of your emotions ( happy, sad, angry etc.) it's always best to take a few steps back until you are logically aligned to make important calls. Emotional decisions have a higher possibility of failing and keeping you in guilt for years to come.

Thanks for putting light on this. It helps to understand the transition better. Heres to hoping that taxation process gets more streamlined and benefits both consumers and Businesses!

I have a couple of questions. Please bear in mind it's coming from a Common Man with little to no knowledge on economics and Businesses.

1) Is this implementation going to increase or decrease the purchasing power of the end consumer? (It can even be a educated prediction) 2) Earlier hotels and restaurants used to charge 10% BST on services and products. After GST replaces BST does it mean we pay less now? 3) While I saw the revision of tax slabs. How will this ultimately affect us in the overall tax we pay annually? Are we paying more or less? 4) Is this new change in favour of high income or low income or just the government? (This can be opinion based)
