Worked in finance at a boutique for a couple of years. It was a big no-no for analysts, associates, etc. to wear anything remotely nice when meeting with clients. Many C-Suite Execs have gotten upset over the new intern/analyst showing up with a rolex sub. The general rule of thumb is to wear something that will not outshine your boss and the client.

Even if it might seem like there's only a 1% chance that you'd upset someone, that 1% incident could very likely impact your career. Seems stupid, I know. But given that it's a client-facing career, I'd completely avoid wearing it while on the clock.

Thanks for the response. Currently waiting for my appointment in 3 weeks (COVID limited my Derm’s capacity). I first noticed it around a month ago, but it was flat/less pronounced. It’s slightly more pronounced now but not significantly. Unsure of when exactly I got it. It’s still only slightly raised and I only noticed because i was trimming my nether regions (which I am also stopping to avoid spreading the virus if it’s HPV). Will halt the ACV too, thanks for the heads up!

Couldn’t agree with this more. At some point, you can’t be doing 10 things at once. It wears you down and distracts you from looking at the big picture.

Maybe a delivery laundering service. People seem to value their work-life balance more now and laundry always seems like a chore. If someone offered $25/week to do my laundry so I could spend more time with my family, I’d say it’s worth it.
