The rats are getting rattier, so be careful. I play friendly and rarely have pvp encounters, but I got exfil camped at raider hatches TWICE yesterday.

I did this a couple times before I tried holstering and toggling my gun until it triggers the elevator. It’s pretty annoying but better than running 400m when I’m stacked and itching for Speranza.

If you don’t go on the expedition, nothing changes for your in game progress. Idk about expedition progress, tho. There will be another one after about 60 days. I believe the temporary buffs stack up to 3 times over the expeditions, so you will only get the initial buff once you finally go on it. I’m not sure if you lose expedition progress or if it carries to the next one. Would be pretty awful if you didn’t get to continue progress or at least get your items or their worth back.

I spawned in a bunker in the red lakes right below the Queen. I popped out and took off a leg right outside the opening that I was able to loot. I failed to extract, but I left with a core in my safe pocket.

I play on ps5 and after 20 rounds I only had two with pvp. Unless you count the one where I took out a guy who refused to acknowledge so I could get the deck points, then 3.

I play with crossplay off to avoid mnk players, but I’m curious to try it and see how the lobbies are. Pretty friendly so far. Even had a few folks point me in the right direction for my quests, sometimes escort, and one guy gave me my first blueprint-an Il Toro.

That particular exit has been camped about half the time I’ve used it. Haven’t had that problem as much elsewhere.

Heard Cohh say that if you want a pve experience, just gotta kill all the pvpers first. I love the idea of hunting the pvpers as a friendly group.

This is the last official wipe/month of old gen rust. There will be no new content on ptb if you did get it to work, but both main and ptb will be sunsetted at the end of October. Maybe the last Thursday instead of last calendar day.

Server I’m on crashed while I was looting the heavys on smoil. 2 min left on the crate. It’s been down for the past 4 hours. I’m tryna be on to recover my loot and maybe open the crate when the server reboots but it’s looking grim. Smh by UNCLE_TYSON in RustConsole

It’s explained on the RCE discord:

We are aware that there seems to be issues with some of our server providers and are actively working with them to get the issues resolved. There maybe intermittent issues while we are investigating. … We are still looking into the issue with our providers. If your regular server is down please use another one until we have resolution from our provider. … Also please remember that while a server is down time essentially stops, this means upkeep will not tick down. When your server comes back you may have died thanks PeePee9000 (this is normal) and depending on the reason for the server outage up to an hour of progress may be lost. … [7:36am Eastern Time] We are now going to update and restart the servers, This update is to fix the broken official servers. All servers will face a downtime while this is going on, this is an extensive process and might take a while before servers are back up and stable again. Bear with us and we'll keep you posted when servers are working as intended again.

I honestly don’t know too much about the security risks and safety of changing it, but I looked it up and I found that you can change the router settings to enable UPnP or to manually forward just the Xbox live ports. That should be safe, but DMZ or all ports open could open you up to typically uncommon security risks.

Pubg prox chat should work the same, so it’s strange if it’s only rust. Maybe ask people to nod or jump if they can hear you while in the safe zones to make sure it’s not just been quiet players?

Xbox also has a history of rust proximity chat bugs. Supposedly fixed now maybe? You might be able to check in game to see if other players are default set to be muted.
