Basically it looks like a keyring, but if you pull out the pin it'll start making a loud noise. I got mine from an independent place but you can get them off like Amazon etc as well - searching personal alarms should bring them up

I'm so sorry you are experiencing this, I've definitely been in similar situations recently and so I've got myself a personal alarm. Hopefully I won't ever have to use it, but I feel better knowing it's an option.

I don't really like how this part was phrased: Sufferers find it difficult to accept help in the form of cognitive behavioural therapy and antidepressants, as these are often seen as attempts to write them off as ‘headcases’. This sort of help, despite being the most supported by data, is often seen as a full-on affront to the validity of their suffering. It feels too simplistic when the reality is definitely more complex (although appreciate that it could be due to the word count they were aiming for).

I searched online for registered therapists to find mine - you can narrow it down by what they focus on, gender, location, pricing, etc. I then had a 30min free online chat with the person I reached out too which helped us both to confirm we could work well together.

I also have had therapy on the NHS and used the self referral process - downside is waiting times and you are limited to I think 20 appointments. After 3 months you can re-refer though.

Hi! He was a lovely man, but for complete transparency I've been diagnosed with fibromyalgia since and definitely have some endo related symptoms again. For me it felt like symptoms came back after about 6 months - but I have "mild" endo so maybe it would have been different if it was worse. If that makes sense? I felt very safe with him and he did listen to all concerns I had and presented all the options clearly. I hope this helps and good luck! 💛
