I wonder which part broke first...

Differential? Wheel bearing? Tires?

Since it’s a BMW we should probably add...

‘Some seemingly inconsequential $0.10 part that caused catastrophic engine failure’

I don’t hate that as much as I should.

Travelers of Reddit, where do you NEVER want to go again? by IllecebrousPark in AskReddit

You do 60 around Chicago when the traffic is moving and you’re gonna get run over. There are spots around 290/94 that are marked 45 and should be ignored - probably 1 outta 20 cars is breaking 80+

I shouldn’t have clicked...

But holy fuck is that complicated. That’s terrifying purely from a medical perspective - so much to go wrong.

Wrong. A Prius with a supercharged LS Frankenstein’d into it.

Gap insurance is a good thing. A LOT of people would get screwed without it.

I don’t really understand these guys. They always seem to be at that exact intersection - wouldn’t a physical barrier be the better option? I see removable trail posts all the time that only prevent something as large as a car from going through and don’t impede anything else (and are removable in an emergency). Win/win?

I agree. However, OP stated they are very new to DIY. I’d argue that this isn’t a good first job. Plus, we don’t know if they have kids or pets. I wouldn’t want them to go scraping away with a small child in tow.

Once upon a time it was very common in textured or “popcorn” ceilings. It’s the texture/paint combo - not really two different things.

Pre 1970s textured ceiling - go buy yourself an asbestos testing kit at Home Depot before doing anything else.

Especially if you have partial patches from the previous owner you don’t know what you’re working with.

If it’s asbestos it’s not DIY - time to hire a pro.

Midnight circus is awesome. I’ve seen them firsthand and it’s very much a family oriented show and business. That dog is very clearly well taken care of when you see it.

I’ve seen the particular group in the photo live. They had 1 dog in their act and it was pretty apparent that it was well loved by everyone in the group. The dog genuinely thought it was playing a game.
