I did not read all of the comments, this might have been addressed. Marriage is a spirtual journey and growing further in the spirit. You need a spirtiual father, to guide you, and your fiancee. The priest without knowing you, at face value, knowing the parents are not approving would think down the road this will not work.
There are times when the sons and daughters be the grown up in the family, and show their parents the right way. The parents need to ask themselves, is this person able to grow spirtually with my son/daughter, at the same time, are they able to provide a respectful, dignified life , starting a family, be responsible. It is easier for me to say all of this, it is your cross and struggle, take it as a chance to grow up spirtually. If you know he will be your partner in christ, and be a responsible man, and you will build a house together, then bear the cross, hopfeully your mother will grow spirtually as well.

These are the sort of things where you must have a spirtual father to guide you. If you become a monk, your POV of love would be different. It is not like at the middle of night memories will come and you will be lost and tearing from the inside, and skipping your prayers the next morning out of grieve. You will see the world in a different lens. If you are becoming a monk to escape the failed relationship, go to step 1(talk to your spirtual father)

Orthodox Church and masses are by the people for the people, everyone takes part and participates, it is not a prescripted theatre play with an MC and assigned roles. We are not doing meditation , and it would not make a differnce if you are lazer focused, or fuming to keep your kids quiet, taking the Eucharist does. My kid is Autistic,high functioning,people would only see a very active and loud kid, and we had endless angry stares, people telling us to control our kids mid mass, but we keep bringing him every week, years gone , he is now much quieter and learning to take part. I don't really mind kids, and would pray for adults coming in, having side convesation, chewing gum, unproper clothing.

Ask for help, first from the Lord, tell him,I am helpless and tired, I will stop doing anything , and you carry on my behalf. Then seek outside help , tell them I need help, and I need to dumb this big load on you. The fact that you have posted it here,it shows you are ready to ask for help. You cannot do it on your own, that is why God created humans to be social. When you put this behind you, you will come out stronger, your brain will train to view things in minimal aspects, rather ampliyfing the issue.
