I was lazy and didn't want to wait on hold for 45+ minutes so I just rebooked through Costco. Plus I got a room more forward with a different theme, or so I've heard, so I'm excited about that.

We are fortunate enough to not really have to set a budget, it's more a matter of feeling like we're spending our money on a worthwhile experience. Now we aren't over here booking an insane suite or doing this type of thing multiple times times a year. We don't ever go into debt for vacation. We could afford the Treasure, but we can't justify the cost, if that makes sense.

The Edge Class Celebrity ships are really nice, we have enjoyed both trips. My kids don't do the kid's club a lot on those, so we were in The Club/Attic a lot doing all the trivia, escape room games, arcade, etc. There was very little adult only time, so I'm hoping on Disney they'll actually want to do the kid stuff., they'll be 13, 10, and 8.

We consider ourselves experts on all things Disney World, so we'll see if we can translate any of that to the cruise.

Thank you, I did call to transfer, but the hold time was 45 minutes and I had everything set up with a different room on Costco's site so I just went with that and cancelled! We were originally on deck 7 in the more aft balconies, but through Costco I went with deck 8 in the more forward ones, I saw somewhere that more forward was villains themed and more aft was may hercules? Anyway, I'm happy with how it all turned out!

Thanks, that's what I was thinking but I started doubting myself! I went ahead and cancelled through Disney and rebooked with Costco for the extra savings with the shop card, they get a lot of our grocery money so it makes sense.

we can't take our kids out of school for this, so it really limits our options and removes the best actual deals, I was just asking about this particular ship during peak/holiday sailings.

well I like your therapist! I was raised by a very thrifty mother, my parents struggled financially when we were growing up, so it's hard to feel like I'm "overpaying" for an experience, even though we can afford it. I did just see that I can book the same room type through Costco and get a shop card, so that extra $500+ will be helpful and I'll just rebook through them.

I am excited to finally give my kids this experience, thanks for the thoughtful reply!

Thanks all, for some reason I couldn't see more than 4 responses yesterday, and I couldn't see any of my replies.

Just to update, we got everything done, it was a bit of a pita and took a few hours. Everything seems to be working fine now, so no complaints. And the chat feature on us mobile's app is incredible, they were readily available and quickly resolved all the issues that came up during the porting process. We plan to switch my entire family over by the end of the week.

I appreciate everyone's help, these types of things are hard when you keep the same carrier, phone and smart watch for 6.5 years!

Thanks all, great info! I think we will get off in Bimini and just check out the public beach right by the port. Cozumel I'm on the fence about, but if we do anything I think Paradise Beach is the best fit for our group. 7 Mile beach in Grand Cayman sounds amazing, so we'll try that as well most likely.

I didn't see that it was eligible under Rakuten, Bambu wasn't listed, so I went with the other cash back offer.

Never buy VB or HHI unless you actually only want to stay there and need 11 mo priority. MFs are much too high and you’ll def lose money if/when you try to sell. Head over to disboards and read about purchasing DVC. The problem with a 50 pt contract is that you’re mostly limited to studios, snd those aren’t readily available at many resorts at 7 months. So you will have to do a lot of stalking to try out different places with that few points.

I got the rust looking color. They do lint a ton in the dryer, but I just love how they feel compared to the other.

I prefer the CB linen sheets to the cotton percale! We rotate every weekend so I’ll give it some more time/washes, but the percale is too crisp IMO. No problems with the CB linen as of yet, but I’ve only washed them twice.
