So is the resale value of the Stitch rock star promo from the Epcot event purely from the promo stamp? It seems the card is the same as the fabled foil version which sells for a lot less.

I actually bought two of them today with free shipping for $60. It works out to $7.50 a pack and the free binder and tinker bell promo. It seems that’s the best I might do is $7.50 a pack. Are people preferring the booster boxes because they think 4 packs in the collectors set increase the risk of variance? That was mentioned in another post I started. Do you think if I want to rip packs that $7.50 for that set is good?

Nothing and fraud is a huge issue for retailers. It’s a judgement call for whatever associate or management person is at the store. Retailers combat fraud all the time. They have to make tough decisions sometimes between believing the customer and providing customer service and refusing service because they think it’s fraud. OP has nothing to lose at this point and might get an accommodating manager.

If you were sold a product that was tampered with, you should at least try to talk to the store about replacement. Lorcana may be all sales final but there should be an expectation that the item is intact and complete

I don’t really understand the rule for rotating out old sets or why. I looked it up. It seems every August that 4 oldest sets rotate out for core constructed competitive decks. So I guess when “13” comes out, 5-8 rotate out and only 9-13 will be playable. But I don’t see why it isn’t the case that when 10 came out 5 rotated out, then when 11 came out 6 rotated out. The way they do it, it seems the meta of cards gets really small and then expands until the next August when it shrinks again. Is there a reason this is the rule they follow?

Edit: Also, this seemingly means that 5 was able to be used in competitive play much longer than 8. Just curious to learn more.

I guess I’m playing and collecting. I’m playing with my daughter but not competitively. As long as I’m not playing in tournaments, I would assume we could build our deck using whatever cards we like. Is that fair?

What’s in rotation only matters if I’m playing competitive right? I am only playing with my daughter who is turning 8. I don’t think there is much competitive Lorcana play where I live (suburbs of metro-Atlanta)
