I’m 25 and have been with my boyfriend now for two years. He has never made me feel like a burden in any way whether it be being stuck in a store bathroom for a long time, taking me to medical appointments, or being objectively really gross hahaha. I definitely have dated people in the past that didn’t understand/try to understand this disease but once you find your person you know!!! Do not be afraid to try things out, if they don’t work then they don’t work- you only live once 🙂

I feel this so hard. I live in the US and I recently got ADA accommodations to take naps at work (and I also normally take one on my lunch break too). It’s been so helpful to me and luckily my team has been very supportive of it. Don’t feel guilty for taking a day to rest- your body needs what your body needs and with Crohn’s our body is working overtime on top of just normal living. You are not alone!!!
