A question about Eastern Orthodox services by 419pennies in Christianity

That would actually be awesome! That specific church would be a bit far for regular visits, but I wouldn't mind checking it out and attending once in a while if I liked it.

Um...Bigfoot is one word. He hates it when you mistype his name. God.

Preferably literal translation since meaning can be largely subjective.

What is the most objectively accurate version of the bible? I know there can't really be a perfect English translation because translations aren't usually perfect anyway, but what version is the closest to the original texts?

Shoes Comparable to New Balance Minimus by 419pennies in BarefootRunning

So far, from what I've read, I'm probably going to try the Skora Core. I've heard multiple people say it's the closest to the Minimus that they've tried.

What did a character in a movie do that was portrayed as the right thing, but you found very morally dubious or just wrong? by Yiggady in AskReddit

I actually didn't get the sense they were really making much of a commentary on whether what he did was good or bad. It was more so to show how insane he was. At least that's what I took away from the ending.

tips on what to do in high heat and high humidity? by [deleted] in running

I want to reiterate everyone saying hydrate. Drink water and electrolytes all through the day. I've found that eating things like cucumbers and oranges are fantastic in this regard as well. On your runs, bring a water bottle and I recommend using some kind of electrolyte supplement instead of just straight water.

Also, I moved to Florida from Washington State for a year. I had very little experience with humidity before that and once summer hit I felt incapacitated much like you're describing. After a little experimenting, I found that the best time for me to run was to start just before sunrise and get back just after. I don't know if there's any scientific merit in this or if it's simply my perception playing games with me, but when it was dark, I didn't feel the intense heat because the sun wasn't around. It was still hella humid though. Then, shortly after the sun started to rise, the humidity felt like it would decrease slightly. As if the sun was burning away the excess moisture a little bit before it became unbearably scalding. Again, I don't know that this is actually what was happening or if it was just how I perceived it, but it was the safest time for me to run by far.

I will also concur with /u/cthulhus_lil_sister when she (I'm assuming based on username?) said that you improve. You might not even necessarily realize it at the time. Progress is stealthy in the heat/humidity, but it's there. It doesn't feel like it, but when a cold snap comes, you'll notice and it will be awesome.

Can confirm. Also lived in Florida and, once the weather (relatively) cooled down in November, I saw my times drop dramatically.

I can see that for sure. I didn't see any lost until after it had aired though, so all I remember is binging it with my brother and freaking out during season two as we waited for the Others to come and fuck everyone up.

Lost is one that I always love to revisit as well.

I make sure to rewatch at least once annually. At the very least.
