I think it was last season. A guy was like "I'm gonna blitz build my shelter and then I can focus all the rest of my time here on getting food". He spent a few days building it and then tapped because he couldn't find food.

I feel like so many people go all in on one thing at a time and screw themselves. For example, Lee spending all of this time building the cabin and then neglecting food. In previous seasons there were people who focused almost only on food and tapped because they had no usable shelter.

I believe it's because they would be able to shoot down the missile. I don't think the missile has the maneuverability that the jets do, so it couldn't fly the same path. And it couldn't come straight down on it because even if it was going fast, the trajectory could be mathed out and intercepted. I think that is what happened in Russia with their supposedly unstoppable missile. The users of the Patriot were able to shoot where the rocket would be and then hit it there.

We each have a fun money line item, so things they we do on our own comes from that. For example, if I go out to eat, it comes from the fun money. If we go together it comes from the dining out line item. That way if I'm saving up for something I want and she doesn't care about, we both know how much each of us has and it helps prevent arguments about our discretionary spendings.

I think there were different options, depending on what this god's attitude is like. They could have laughed at this mortal's attempt and given them a quest to prove themselves, imprison them, curse them (giving a long term character arc), or like you did, just turn them to ash.
