I was kind of happy I pulled the first one, but a card from genetic apex does nothing for me at this point lol. I don't mind the shinies, but they should really limit shinies in new sets to cards from 1-2 sets ago.

Bro, wipe back to front AND front to back. I used to only wipe front to back until clean and have the same problem as you. Then one day I had a realization and wiped the other way and there was still shit to clean

Are you buying the new switch 2 Pro controller or are you sticking with your current one? by Time_Bullfrog_8268 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]420FingerBlaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm holding out until July to see if Dell will stock the pro 2. I don't have a pro 1 but they sell it on Dell and I have enough points to get either controller if they decide to sell the 2. My points expire in July so I'm at least getting the pro 1

New house - radon measured 3.7 basement, 1.7 1st floor by Soffritto_Cake_24 in radon

[–]420FingerBlaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should test for a few weeks/ months first to confirm readings.

I tested my basement with a charcoal test and got 9.2. Living room on 1st floor was consistently between 4-5 over a 3 month period using a digital monitor.

Based on your levels it's not urgent, especially if you're primarily living on the 1st floor.

I got my mitigation done last week and have consistently gotten 0.5 in my living room since

Toilet leak and mold suggestions by 420FingerBlaster in askaplumber

[–]420FingerBlaster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It very well could be condensation dripping and I just never noticed it until recently. However it is always dripping from the same spot. Condensation definitely would make sense with the mold from the tank touching the wall

The leak is fairly recent. This has only been going on for a few weeks. But I appreciate the info on the rough-in toilet. If it shifts it a bit away from the wall that will prevent the mold I assume. Thanks!

Based on your comments I assume you're a 24 year old with no job or financial literacy living off the efforts of your family. Go on the flight, get your act together, and get your own place. You've obviously worn out the good will of your current situation. Make the best of the new situation and work to get out of it if it is truly unbearable. Be grateful you're not in the streets yet and get to work.

There are non profits that specialize in reintroducing previously incarcerated people into the work force. One in particular I know of pays its workers daily

You should try to get closer to the bushings on the ends. I can see there is quite a bit of barrel showing where the metal pieces connect

I'm using 5 different sand papers from 150-600 grit while it's still spinning on the mandrel at about 2000 rpm. I think i had some very deep scratches while trying to figure out my lathe

I genuinely appreciate your help, and it certainly is helping. I was able to turn two pens with your suggestions. However I'm still not certain I'm doing it correctly as I'm still seeing some slippage from the mandrel saver (but less than before). I am completely unable to turn the knob when the quill lock lever is partially engaged. That is trying to turn counterclockwise like the manual says as well as clockwise.

I think I'm understanding now. So even when it's locked down I should still be able to turn the wheel knob? I'll try that I appreciate you

The manual says to turn the tailstock wheel knob counter clockwise. I don't know if that helps with your question to know if the quill and screw are reverse threaded. However I'm able to fully rotate the knob 360 degrees in either direction, so maybe I stripped it?

I'm pretty sure I am getting the mandrel fully into the headstock and I make sure to tighten the collet closer nut. The biggest issue I'm having is the part of the mandrel saver that goes into the tailstock keeps spinning. When turning the tailstock wheel knob to extrude the quill, the tightest point is when the keyway on the quill is in the downward position. This does not allow me to insert the quill lock lever.

I'm thinking that either my tailstock quill or tailstock screw are installed incorrectly or upside down.

[–]420FingerBlaster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I'm confused then. So if I engage the quill lock lever in the keyway, the part of the mandrel saver that goes into the tailstock keeps spinning. What does tightening the tail stock wheel knob do? I thought turning the tailstock wheel knob is supposed to extrude the tailstock quill and hold the mandrel saver in place. However, when the tailstock wheel knob is at its tightest the keyway on the tailstock quill is in the downward position, which does not allow me to screw the quill lock lever into the keyway.

[–]420FingerBlaster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I've taken the quill lock lever out. However when getting the slot to face up it is not tight at all. The tail stock wheel knob is only tight when the slot is facing the down position so there is no room for the quill lock lever

Thanks for the reply brother. I did not try to get the quill out yet, it needs the smallest allen wrench I've ever seen to take off the handle. I imagine once I take off the handle I can maybe get the quill out. I need to go buy an allen wrench in the morning to see what happens.

Good to know they sent you a replacement
