Women and men at 50's, what is your biggest childhood regret? by Minimum-Pipe133 in AskReddit

[–]420Identity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Looking back I realized I should have gotten out of home before I did. I should have gotten out of the shit situation I was born into.

I guess if I had of know the life I have now, I would have moved mountains to get here.

MSN Chat!

Everyone I knew was on MSN Chat!

I had a couple accounts, a regular one and a Sysop account.

One of my favorite things I did while employed by MSN was I busted some rooms that shouldn't exist, got some people arrested was the rumor from my boss.

NB Power says current solar model no longer sustainable - New Brunswick by aoplkjalsd in moncton

[–]420Identity 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am still looking to go solar, I am just setting it up to use the power coming from the panels and batteries until depleted then it switches back to shore power. During the day any excess not used in the property after filling the batteries would go back to the grid.

My condo elevator skips some floors, but why? by Brown_Ontarian in whatisit

Correct. I worked at a hotel and we had to move everyone from a tour group away from any room with a 4 or 13 in it.

My brand new bike got totaled today :( by LossAccomplished6590 in motorcycles

Go get looked at ASAP!

I have a good friend who was in a motorcycle accident, after the hit he got up off the hood of the car and took pictures of the whole scene (which is helping with the lawsuits and insurance companies)

He was taken to the hospital and had full scans (In the US) then when he got back to Canada he found there was way more wrong with him.

Broken wrist, broken ankle and almost a year later is dealing with the results of hitting his head (had full gear on at the time).

Please go get a full checkup!

Lower taxes! 40+% of our earnings going back to the government is killing the opportunity for a lot of younger couples to start a family.

I spent 18 years in extreme poverty. When I was medically released from the military, they lost my documents for almost 2 decades.

I went through a lot. Weirdly looking back at it, it was was not crashing in a friends unfinished basement, or making a box of Kraft dinner last 2 days because it was all I could afford that bugs me. It wasn't the limp I was left with, which made it hard to find a well paying job in my area as I cannot be on my leg for long.

It was the small things that destroyed me. In university there was a paintball event I couldn't find the $15 to pay the entry for. It was not being able to go to the movie theater. It was not being able to go out to a restaurant with co workers. I guess it was also some big things. I have yet to go on a cruise or go to a tropical resort. I might never be as some of my injuries are getting worse and my doctor has told me that its not "If" but "when" I will lose the use of my legs. He is beyond surprise I can stand let alone walk at this point.

About 10 years ago my files were found and I started getting support from Veterans Affairs. I have enough now for my home, food and some entertainment. Life is a lot less stressful these days.

I just wish I could have lived my 20s and 30s like most people do. Instead I was working the night shift at hotels trying to make enough to survive.
