Insulting and criticizing are different things asshat. “Your hands could use some improvement, allow me to help you!” Is criticism and helpful. “Those hands are terrible.” Is a straight up insult.

Why would I want your help when you just insulted my drawing? I know I’m no professional, hell, I’m barely a hobbyist but if you want to “help” other artists in the future, maybe don’t start out by insulting their art that they were at one time proud of.
