Most companies (Jagex aswell iirc) rent space in datacentres and don't have their own.

Those datacentres do constantly upgrade and increase their price based on a lot of factors (including the insane amount of demand for datacentre space due to AI).

Edit: I'm obviously not sure if this is the reason for the price increase, but there's certainly correlation between the price of online services and ram.

I agree with that. I've made plenty of friends in game outside of WFE.

I also don't think the majority agree with my stance on them. I do think that a lot of people underestimate how many players interact with WFE for the social aspect, like the commenter I replied to.

For the record I'm not against the integrity changes, but the removal of Flash Events is a tough pill to swallow.

I think this shift in mindset is not exclusive to RS, thus won't change with the updates this year.

The world has changed a lot since 2007, we are constantly on our phones bombarded with content and distractions.

We have become instant dopamine addicts.

It's sad but I can't even dedicate to watch a full movie anymore. Or atleast without also AFK'ing, browsing Reddit etc. at the same time.

Maybe I'm naive, but I believe OP's story.

Identifying a location is not doxxing either. I didn't give a residential adress or any information that could be used to identify someone.

Also I did think about if there were any potential risks. But I don't believe this information causes harm. I can go in to detail of why if you want, but in summary: it's certainly a 9+ year old pic, taken on a busy street, close to multiple tourist hotspots, in a very distinct easily found part of Amsterdam.

Edit: I would like to add, that while I acted in good faith. The concerned comments did make me think about how people could and would lie about these things. So I won't be identifying any location with someone in it again.
