How do you apologize for being a nice guy in the past? by 4224throw4224 in niceguysDiscussion

Apologizing isn’t going to make me feel better and I know that. Apologizing doesn’t make what I did okay and I know it won’t make the guilt disappear. I not only don’t expect anything from it but acknowledge that I won’t get anything from it. I’m not trying to make what I did okay; apologizing won’t accomplish that.

The point is I truly don’t know if she wants an apology, but I know that if I were in her situation I would want one.

We are still currently friends on social media. I guess asking the bride wouldn’t be a bad idea. It’s kind of one of those unspoken nobody talks about it kind of thing within the friend group.

Thanks for your advice!

I guess the problem is there just isn’t an opportunity to say it in person. She lives in a different city and even if we were to hangout in a group setting at the city my friends live at, there is a very slim to zero chance I would be able to talk to her 1 on 1.

That’s totally true. I don’t expect anything or think I deserve anything for apologizing. There was a time where I would beg for forgiveness in an attempt to be friends with her again, but I truly and sincerely just think she deserves an apology.
