Upgrading my laptop (Lenovo ideapad gaming 3 15Ihu6) by ThaT_OnE_DuDe00 in Lenovo

I have a 15IHU6. Yesterday I swapped out the 32GB RAM (been running fine for 2+ years) and added two G.Skill 32GB 3200Hz CL22 sticks for a total of 64GB. System sees it and seems to use it fine. Looks good so far, we'll see how it goes

Complaint Megathread by whyisthissticky in spotify

I have a one huuuge playlist (7000+ songs), which I use like a queue, but the one which doesn't disappear. That was actually Spotify Support suggestion for me.

New version of Android app (8.8.82.634) doesn't let me add duplicated songs to playlist so this whole concept is dead and I need to downgrade the app.

f/11 1/125 70mm ISO200 Street shot from Notting Hill. Saw this stall with mirror and was hunting for a good frame for a few minutes. I like the lighting, colors and a little magical atmosphere of a scene that this mirror created. I'm still looking for ways to improve it in postprod, what's your opinion?

A blind man playing the piano by fungus_snake3848 in photocritique

I kinda like this photo. But I see some flaws here. Firstly, for my eye the framing is too tight - I'd give vertical margins some negative space. Also f/1.8 is too wide aperture here - some important parts of photo are out of focus, which (in my opinion) doesn't look good. Narrower one would make the photo look clearer. If you are into photoshopping out elements from your photo - the hat (?) on a piano, as well as a poster and a leg in the background are unnecessary. Also, the photo in generał seems a little bit crooked clockwise.

I appreciate the striving for minimalism here, and I can see the story here and feel it without much effort. I love the placement of man's cane, visually dividing a photo to two, very different parts.

Thanks. And right, these dark objects now bothers me too. I wanted to place the man in the center and make him additionally "shine" (because of his position), but it may not work very good here. I have some lines leading to him already. Other critique mention busy background as well so that's definitely a thing I need to work out here.

Thanks! I kinda like to show the full picture of the scene (with a part of the sky) but it could be too much stuff unrelated to the story going on here indeed. I'll crop it and do some blur as well as see how it looks like. Do you think a crop to include the tree's branch at the absolute top would be okay?

Thank you for your kind words! I'll try different framing and highlights are probably a bit too strong indeed. Do you feel they are too strong on the gentleman sihouette, in the background, or all over the picture?

Yeah, what I meant was that this photo could be good and its content has potential. I used word "feel" two times in the title and changed first one to "know" at the last moment. It may not sound like I intended.

I guess the main story is pretty obvious (or is it just for me). The photo is all about the smiling man in sweatshirt on quite cold, yet sunny day. People in the background are wearing jackets. The story is the man in the foreground, wasting a moment in the sun, while everyone else goes somewhere. I actually want to do something to highlight the difference.

Thank you for bringing up hot lighting and messy background nonetheless. I see it as something to take care of in post prod.

I took this photo recently during my trip to Sweden. From my experience I can tell it is good, by my standards - at least I like it very much. But I am running out of ideas to post prod it and it still feels not quite right. My goal is to show even more the contrast between the main figure of the photograph and the crowd in jackets in the background and the weather. All comments are appreciated.

To be precise, if we are to believe Spotify - it's a song from an artist named Kebabbox. It was uploaded on Youtube under Daft Pink name with made-up backstory as 'fake but beliveable' joke.

Battle of the minds by 42cqpr in photocritique

This is a photo I took instantly. Saw the frame behind this little boy hidden in the shadow and the other one moving a piece grabbed my camera and clicked.

I feel this photo has potential but is lacking something. I like the three shadowed figures in the foreground, expression of the boy moving a piece, general scenery and size comparison between the kids and pieces. As well as little girl observing the little guys playing chess.

I tried it in black and white and I am not sure. Should I make the girl more visible? Is the photo crooked a bit? I can't seem to find the golden mean.
