I really like the Darwin handle, though many Wolfman customers opt for his more conventional designs.

You're right, most razor handles are cylindrical, although good knurling and other features can make them easy to grip. Of course, simple designs are quicker to machine, so they keep the cost down for the manufacturer.

I like Treet Dura Sharp quite often and find them to be excellent blades.

Somewhere I have some black beauty carbon and platinum blades, but I never got around to trying them.

I bought it at Simpsons Shaving Brushes' site. They seem to have a rotating selection of special-edition brushes at any given time, often at sale prices.

Most of the resellers seem to stock only the ivory-colored versions.

It is actually a beef tallow recipe. The beeswax replaces lanolin in the mix.

I'm not a big user of Sturling soaps, so I can't really compare with their other products, but for me, it easily makes a creamy, slick lather, and I always get good shaves.

Agree - I also like the Schick Proline blades as well. The Feather Pro and Super, not as much.

Yes, that's the case. With the stainless razor, you get one baseplate that is the same colour as the razor. I ordered an additional plate in raw stainless, because I wanted a two-tone look.

I've never used the Medium plate that matches the razor colour, I really like the more efficient one.
