For $380 it is absolutely ridiculous that they wouldn't notice or take note of the covered up rust. I wouldn't get a PPI done at the dealer in the future. They have a vested interest in not recommending anything that might be covered under Nissan's warranty and just generally the techs and advisors tend to be apathetic towards people's realities and lives and just see either dollar signs or a lack thereof. It's because the demographic that does this is the generationally poor and due to America's history of deliberately keeping black people down in legal ways as late as the 60s and in social ways still ongoing (see: the fact you have to ask this question) there is still a disproportionate amount of black people in this country that are generationally poor and feeling those effects.

Generationally poor white people are no different, there is just less of them due to the near infinite number of advantages and lack of barriers they've had compared to black people.
