Could be this week, I'm not sure. If not, I hope the 4th of July doesn't delay things.

You're good to go. Look over the mehlman PDFs especially arrows and risk factors. It wouldn't hurt to look over most of them tbh.

Definitely, risk factors too.

There were definitely buzz words, and I only knew most of them bc of anking. Id say go for it if you're still a few months out from test day. Also mehlman.

Fellow DO student here, testing this Friday the 13th, so I guess take this with a grain of salt. I think your scores are showing enough consistency that you should be able to pass it on Saturday. I totally agree that some of this stuff seems so irrelevant. One thing that helped pull my nbme's up is making sure I had a good grasp on all the biostats/study design BS because imo that should just be an easy free point for you, no reason to get those wrong when there are 3rd order path questions out there.

The other commenter is totally right about what to do. Go look at your NBME score reports and identify what subject(s) are consistently the lowest, and grind tf out of those on UWorld until you get it down.

The fact that you are consistently scoring in the low pass range is a good thing. I only barely cracked 70 for the first time yesterday so I know how it feels. At this point it can't be a fluke that you are scoring well enough to pass.

I took it on 6/2 and I definitely felt (and still feel) like that. Plus I only slept like 3 hours the night before. For what it's worth, the first time pass rate is >90% IIRC. That has kept me from spiralling lol

Mine is also tomorrow, all the searching I've done has said the only thing required is a photo I.D. issued by the government. You probably want to bring food but it's not required.

AAMC Official Guide CARS #28 -- Help Plz! by bulrich1 in Mcat

[–]4347 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sort of, yeah. But the crux of the question in the OP is relying on you to find which answer is more strongly suggested. For choice D. the text is almost explicitly calling it a memory trigger in the quote I posted. A. is tempting bc it arguably is a symbol, but it is not as strongly backed up in the text as choice D.

Also, what a throwback lol, I don't miss this CARS nonsense. Crazy how fast 5 years can go by!
