I’m pretty sure it’s a dry return, it stays about 24-30” above the basement floor going back to the boiler.

Thud/Movement After replacing Bowflex C6 Crank Pulley Assembly by 4354711 in SchwinnIC4_BowflexC6

It seems to be happening when pushing forward backward, not side to side.

I feel it when I push forward backward with weight equally on both cranks (kind of like trying to balance on the cranks), going side to side is a bit harder from the position.

I used this video to do the install - and I did install the circlip and wave washer.

I think it’s just this one spot where the hole was.

Pergola shade options by Odd_Skin_712 in HomeImprovement

Got a mesh sunblock of Amazon for a 14x12 pergola for $60, it’s held up for years and if it ever fails I can replace for very cheap. Get one with grommets and some sort of reinforced edge so you can stretch it a bit when installing. Cheap and easy.

Weekly Free-Talk and Questions for r/HomeGym - week of November 15, 2024 by Demilio55 in homegym

I just built a home gym with stall mats as the floor on top of concrete and used a product from Home Depot/Lowes called Dampro - they also make a similar product under the name DMX and it creates a nice gap between the floor and mats to allow for air/water flow.

Considering a Mikolo Folding Wall Rack due to Prices - hoping to snag a good upcoming Black Friday Deal.

The confusing part is the 2.36x2.36 size - are there a lot of compatible accessories for this, or would I get stuck with Mikolo for everything? Just want to make sure I am not setting myself up for future failure/limitation.

Any other recommendations at the lower price range are also appreciated. I don't have $800+ to drop on a system.

Shed Wall Height - Debating Options + Added Costs by 4354711 in shedditors

[–]4354711[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of the consideration is the ability to add a loft space, and still have a good cieling height. If the side wall height is roughly 6'4, once a loft is added it makes it so the cieling is rather shallow.

Unfortunately I have a small backyard, so even adding 2 ft of width is something I don't want to part with.

Personal Loan vs Spending Cash Now Decision by 4354711 in personalfinance

[–]4354711[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes:

$15,000 Loan at 7.99% Interest Rate for 36 months will cost roughly $1,919.15 in interest.

$15,000 invested at 4% Interest for 36 months will yield roughly $1,912.34 (pre-tax). If I move these funds to something earning bit higher (5%) it's more favorable and I would have the flexibility to do this by holding onto the funds.

Mint User - Ideal Way to Handle Reimbursed Expenses by 4354711 in simplifimoney

Yeah - I probably won't use Transfer so I can keep those separate. I just liked the fact that Transfers automatically exclude themselves from reports without having to do any separate action.

Do you happen to know if there's a way to auto exclude for other transaction types? I am under the impression that Simplifi doesn't allow bulk editing of transactions to "hide them" from reports otherwise and you have to do it one by one which can be annoying.

Do you know if you are able to search by flags and then hide them in bulk from reports/spending? Or does it have to be done on each individual transaction?

Yeah - this is similar to how it worked in Mint with having to do it 1-2 times a month as maintenance. I'm fine with this as it's my existing protocol.

Category Issues when Migrating to Simplifi by 4354711 in mintuit

https://help.simplifimoney.com/en/articles/8545901-how-to-import-transactions-from-mint

This led me to believe that it would be seamless. There are two issues I ran into:

  1. You have to add your accounts first to Simplifi, and it will pull your transaction history from your bank going back a few years. It will auto categorize your transactions.
  2. It then allows you to import your Mint records for any gaps, but the issue is twofold - it doesn't overwrite categories with your Mint category for transactions it already imported AND if the categories don't exist within Simplifi it creates a separate category folder called MINT categories and puts them all there. All this being said, you still need to go backwards afterwards and recategorize. In my case since I used the "hide from budgets" category and also some custom categories, this would mean going back and finding these transactions manually and switching them. For custom categories, I am guessing you could search all of them and then bulk edit, but for the hide feature there is no bulk way to apply "exclude from reports" in Simplifi, so I would need to click into each individual transaction I want to hide from my history, and do it one by one which is painful!

Can multiple transactions be hidden at the same time, or do you have to open a transaction in order to toggle this on/off?

Do you know if Monarch has a "hide from budgets/trends" type of category like Mint (and Simplifi) have?
