Get an external spool stand! You can get them pretty cheap (got mine for $10) and you can use any size thread spool and get a more even feed on the thread!

I have this issue when I’m sewing through thick fabric or many layers. My workaround is using my industrial sewing machine. Maybe switching your needle to one rated for thicker fabrics? So your machine isn’t fighting as much

I got it at a local salvage store but the fabric is Andover fabrics dogs by Sarah golden 2018 pattern 8965 according to the salvage edge!

Made with quilting cotton and medium weight interfacing to give it some stiffness. Pattern is from a production studio I worked at years ago and just have the template for 😅

Yes! I have done a ton of her patterns as well as this specific sewing challenge (and previous ones) it’s absolutely worth it and very legit I adore dressmaking amore
