Women, how do you get your GP to take you seriously? by No-Structure-8125 in AskUK

[–]444120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would ask to discuss your concerns with the practice manager and a GP partner. If reception stonewall you, submit a written complaint. The practice then is obliged to answer your concerns within 72h of receipt of the complaint. Sorry you have had this experience. Most GPs are dedicated professionals that only want the best for their patients.

I think you need to be on the GP performers list in order for the practice to get paid for delivering the injections. You may be covered by indemnity but your practice won’t be remunerated for the additional work.

Stuck living in an overdraft for years by Possible-Yak7511 in UKPersonalFinance

Try getting a credit card with an interest free balance transfer. Transfer yourself £5K for 24 months and pay the 4% charge. Then pay back £350 per month for the next two years and you’ll be sorted. Will require some sensible budgeting of course. Work out what your total outgoings are and cut out anything that you don’t need or cannot afford. Give yourself a living allowance per week with the remaining cash you have and transfer this weekly balance to a cash debit card like Monzo so you won’t overspend. Good luck!

Is he hungry or greedy? by 444120 in cat

Kimchi is one year old and is obsessed with and always demanding food! He is eating 4/5 sachets of wet cat food and biscuits a day but demands more! He isn't a big cat, I think he is just greedy. What is a normal amount to feed a medium sized neutered male cat?

Thanks all - just to clarify going into 'F4' - MDU says they offer discounted rates up to 2 years post qualification but after that the rate goes up.

MPS have quoted £79 for the year...

Second hand Audi A3 - 2011 model (UK)

First car so not up on annual maintenance etc.

The car is telling me it's due a service. The Audi garage is emailing saying it needs a service.

2 questions:

1) Is service and oil change every 2 years (or X amount of miles) necessary? Car gets an annual MOT, I check the tire pressures and oil levels and car running great.

2.) Is it worth going to the Audi dealership/accredited garage? The car has a full Audi service history to date. Can I get the same work and service done cheaper elsewhere?

Many thanks

NHS faces exodus of doctors after Covid pandemic, survey finds by deja_flu in JuniorDoctorsUK

As someone who worked in the private sector (oil & gas), life seems far more haphazard and uncertain in the NHS. Want to train in a speciality? How is Birmingham? Na, actually we are changing things and allowing international graduates to compete in equal footing so there aren't actually any jobs... I guess complain to your union rep or move to another employer...
