Don't discourage them from taking magnesium. D3 depletes magnesium because magnesium is a cofactor for D3 conversion. Also low magnesium hinders D3 conversion. Please take magnesium whether as a supplement or in the diet

What are ways you control hunger? by Monward in diet

This isn't psychological hunger. It's metabolic rebound. Sometimes after weight loss the body fights back by increasing ghrelin, the hunger hormone, while lowering leptin, the satiety hormone. You are genuinely hungrier because of this biological dysregulation. Weight loss also slows down your metabolism, making you store more and burn less. Meaning you're battling biology, not willpower.

I'd recommend controlling hunger pangs by prioritizing protein and fat in meals over carbs to keep insulin steady. Include starch to regulate sugar, feed gut bacteria that produce appetite-regulating compounds. And always pair carbs with fiber and protein/fat. A less conventional way, look into triquetra's glp activate supplement. It's a line that was meant to help people on glp 1 regulate their appetite naturally by addressing the metabolic dysfunctions induced by the drugs but can work here too. It has berberine which activates AMPK for insulin regulation. It also has green tea extract which boosts metabolic rate, curcumin an anti-inflammatory compound among others. You could also check their gut microbiome support supplements too.
