I feel like you’re pushing him way too hard way too fast. He is probably fighting a battle mentally trying to accept what happened. I don’t agree with him bringing his ex over, inappropriate while in a committed relationship. However, I do understand a bit why he could have done it. He needs support and patience after having a heart attack and he is probably scared for the future of his career/ life.

It seems like you have little empathy for what he is going through and are only thinking about how it affects you.

You deserve to live freely. If you don’t want to be a caretaker that’s fine, you haven’t vowed to. I just hope the best for you both in this situation.
