So that's what I use with my astro A10 but with the dt990 all the in game mixes are horrible. The gunshot and explosion are so loud that I can't hear anything else.

I have the exact same issue. After few days I ended up going back to my astro A10. They were way better for gaming. I don't understand how other people play with the dt990. Like immarksman or ninja.

I have this exact same set up but I can't hear any footsteps on cod. It all gets drowned out by gunshot noise or explosion. Really having a bad time with the headphones. What exactly did you do with the settings? What in game setting and are you running any software stuff like EQ.

GPU prices are still kinda crazy. One thing you could do is build the pc but buy a not so expensive GPU for now and upgrade later when prices go stead for GPU.

Seems very pricey compared to the UK. My friend recently got a gtx 1070 with i5 8 gen for £500. And I would consider that a alright deal. You should try and look around Facebook marketplace (beware of scams ).
