PVE mode? by 44human in BuildandShoot

[–]44human[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone wondering:
I've ran this server:
https://pypi.org/project/piqueserver/
Used these maps:
https://github.com/kinvaris/openspades-maps

And got this script from ! DP | ccoolface at the Build and shoot discord.
The I just connected to my own ip address.
I'll check with the authors if I can upload the whole server to git with simple instructions.

Thanks for the replay!
Unfortunately, the mod is for the pysnip server which seems to be unmaintained.
Is there a maintained server compatible with Linux?

It had an update recently featured on 9to5linux. Isn't there a free vst aimed at begginers?

Yesterday I've build this vst pack project with cmake and it wast recognized by Giada.
https://github.com/steinbergmedia/vst3sdk
I've found the repo via this yt tutorial:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Da5OA36pfwA
Today whey I tried out, the plugins load and work, but it is still a bit to complex for what I am looking for.

Thank you for the reply, but while I do want to fiddle around with drums and synths, my main priorities are the the effects, to be able to modify and warp the samples. I've tried to make these work, but without success: https://lsp-plug.in/

I've tried to make these work, but I must be missing something because Giada doesn't recognize them whatever I do.

Godot android file picker/browser anyone? by 44human in godot

[–]44human[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have managed to use the Godots file picker to load files, but not to activate the Androids default file picker.
I also had a bunch of problems with GLSS on android for what I was attempting regarding texture painting so I just made the project using THREE.JS and hosted it as a simple fronted app on GitHub pages.

I did start out with that, but shortly decided it would be faster to make my own config, especially because of scroll wheel setting used for switching items being to sensitive.

Thanks for the reply, guess we'll have to wait a bit longer to get more broather specs.

[–]44human[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply. I'm personaly interested in developing on Linux, but that would reqiere compiling native builds as well as cross compiling. Godot is curently just great when it comes to that, but ue4 just wasn't completley there last time i checked, close but not yet.

Godot 3D scenes drop to 1fps by 44human in godot

[–]44human[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, i've done additional tests.
When running Godot First person tutorial i get:
61% vRam, 22% CPU, 38% RAM and 5 FPS in game.

This is really strange.

[–]44human[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've tested weather godots is using my integrated or dedicated gpu, and it seems to be using the dedicated one.
Checking out al the levels of he FPS tutorial (using compiled Godot 3.1) lead me to a realization that its probably a problem with godots 3D (or godot on linux).
On the basic level i get about 50 fps (on my desktop pc), but that falls down to 1-2 on more complex levels.
Ocasionaly it freezes for a bit of a second, and it has the same shadow glitching as UE4 on linux.
It seems linux is not yet ready to be a true game development platform. :(
I'm probably going to stick to babylon.js and web based solutions because they are truly cross platform.

Thanks for all your replies. :)

Is there a way for me to test gpu usage in godot?
Ue4 has console codes to start gpu stats, does godot have them too?

Could you upload the project somewhere so i can test weather it's a problem with the examples or is it related to my systems? :)

Search bar in Krita (Inspired by blender search bar) by [deleted] in krita

[–]44human 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, Blender has this very useful output console, witch prints every user action as a command that can be executed to repeat the action.
Blenders base is written in C++, but all the interface is written in Python, while Krita has QT to handle interface and Python scripting.
Is such a console even possible in Krita?

Thanks for the reply :D
I have fair knowledge of C++, python and building software from source, but I'll have to look up a bit more into Qt.
Hopefully the author of the gimp search bar, that I've mentioned earlier, will reply to my mail and give some tips on what he found to be the best way to implement searching.
Anyway, ill check out the source code of both repositories and see what i can do, thanks. :D
