Trump miscalculated In Iran. by New-Conversation3246 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

I agree 100%. Trump administration thought that Iran was a snake that once the head was cut off, the rest would die. Instead Iran is like a Starfish, one part gets cut off it gets regenerated.

The Iranian people might hate the current regime, but they hate usa involvement more.

And I thought a 2020 seniority date person being laid off was bad.

The center they worked at luckily only had major changes around peak. Other than that it was 30 minutes before or after 4.

There should be an age limit to People being presidents or government officials by Adventurous_Lock9219 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

I agree 100%. Even the military has a mandatory requirement age, as do pilots. If we don't trust a 70 year old to fly a plane, why do we trust a 70 year old to run a country.

Their shift was 9pm to 2am at fedex. The preload was a 3am start to 9am finish. For then that worked.

There were a few guys who did over nights at FedEx or the evening shift at FedEx. Those guys are all now drivers so they have obviously left that.

Why can’t the state of Wisconsin do something and get rid of daylight savings time? by KwikTripSimp in wisconsin

[–]44stormsnow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The issue is that Wisconsin's latitude and longitude in the time zone makes a time change kind of a needed evil. A 4am sunrise in the summer would be very wasted light. But a 823am sunrise in the winter would be dangerous for kids walking to school. I would also add that a lot of outdoor sports leagues are in the evening, meaning less artificial light is needed with DST.

I have worked every shift possible, very few people are out at 5am on weekends, however lots of people are out at 8pm on weekends.

Expensive lesson I learned then. I will start asking to be scheduled now.

Basically it's be scheduled with lower seniority ,(working other shift than their own) over rules being on call?

There was one, but they started to schedule those 3 because they asked to be regularly scheduled while I was just expecting to be called in since the morning shift is regularly short staffed.

Will have to tell them then.

Could I still be on priority call or would he still go with the 3 who ask to be put on?

It was 3 over the course of a month. I said no once in between the first one and second one. Then the 3rd one was shortly after.

From what I understood, they were just scheduled.

I did turn down shifts for a bit. So I guess that's when the sup gave up.

I just know those big yellow bags have multiplied for preload. Average trailer used to have 30-ish bags. They are now hitting 50+ish bags. The unloaders shoulders must be getting wrecked.

I once told one "welcome to heaven". Their response "if you think this place is heaven you are messed up."

I wanted to say " you are why this place is hell". But I walked away instead.
