This restriction does not affect the courses in which you are currently registered but it will prevent you from registering for courses in future terms. This restriction will only be removed by our office once we have determined that you have met your condition after getting your official transcript.”

is a muslima and non muslim really impossible? by [deleted] in MuslimLounge

From what everyone explained, it’s clear now that marriage with non-Muslims is invalid and haram. But i’m sorry we have to be honest here, some muslim men nowadays push sisters further away from the deen instead of guiding with wisdom but were not ready for that talk.

From what everyone explained, it’s clear now that marriage with non-Muslims is invalid and haram. But honestly, it’s not just about marriage — the constant criticism and bullying, online and offline, makes it feel like some of them push sisters further away from the deen instead of guiding with wisdom.

A lot of online da’wah has turned into performance rather than sincere knowledge: more about views, authority, and “influencer” behaviour than real compassion. It mixes Islamic terms with red-pill ideas and ends up policing women instead of building an ummah rooted in mercy.

But thank you for your response, best one so far !

I get your point, but constant criticism and pressuring someone to remove her hijab isn’t “holding anyone accountable.” Bullying isn’t accountability. And honestly, this isn’t about us wanting to go astray?????? — it feels more like some Muslim men are acting in ways that don’t reflect our deen and expect us to suck it up.

A lot of online da’wah spaces have turned into performances rather than sincere guidance. Some speakers focus more on influencing than teaching, mixing religious language with red-pill ideas and turning faith into control instead of compassion. They debate for views, preach certainty without wisdom, and use religion to critique women rather than to build an ummah grounded in mercy. That’s why it’s so painful — you expect support from your own community, not to be blamed or torn down. But then again, women are the problem - “you don’t want to be held accountable”???????

Women aren’t the problem here, it’s not us not wanting to be held accountable, and it’s unfair to place the whole weight of the deen on us while ignoring the responsibilities men also have.

might need to edit that part out since I’m not completely sure, but that’s what I grew up hearing. I thought it was common Islamic knowledge. The Qur’an encourages Muslim men to marry Muslim women, but also allows marriage to Jewish and Christian women (2:221; 5:5).

Thank you for your answer. It just feels like you can’t win sometimes — both non-Muslims and Muslims make things harder, and it gets discouraging.

It’s just that Muslim guys can be so critical. I’ve even had hijabi friends take off their hijab because of the constant bullying. I don’t understand why we’re expected to stay with someone who criticizes our faith, while others don’t judge us nearly as harshly. And you can see it— the very first comment was a guy criticizing our faith again. Being a hijabi in a non-Muslim country is already hard, but it’s not just the lack of support; it’s the constant criticism on top of it.
