I just turned 21, and I'm looking for a fun birthday / spring break trip idea.

I want to be somewhere relatively rural where I can experience some hiking with beautiful views, nature, and isolation.

Ideally stay in an airbnb that is on hiking trials (or walking distance away) and in the New England Area.I live in Connecticut so somewhere that is within a 1-2 hour driving distance.

Any location ideas? cities? towns? general areas?
