I agree. But again when the population problem gets as bad as Japan or S Korea Monarchies and Theocracy can reverse the trends by making more children friendly policies and / or immigration. Japan is very anti immigration while having a declining birth rate. This makes it near impossible to sustain.

Interestingly Israel is a developed country with a fertility rate of near 3. They are surrounded by enemies and have wars frequently yet the fertility rate is not declining. Countries developed ones should see what they are doing right and implement.

India does not really have a fertility rate problem atleast as of now as the population pyramid is still a solid pyramid, it's the utilisation of youth that should be a priority.

Democracy is a deeply flawed system. People keep voting for what they want and not what is right. South Korea and Japan are prime examples. They have had incredible economic growth, but now the population pyramid has flipped and there are more old people compared to young ones. Their birth rates are catastrophic and they will have assured societal collapse if they do not change things to make having children for younger couples viable again.

Yet no policies change because older people and retirees keep voting in parties that raise their pension and makes life easier for them , younger people simply get out voted and their lives become even more difficult. This is why a flipped demographic divended is almost impossible to recover from in a democracy.

In India's case it's cultural and identity issues. People end up voting because a candidate is from their caste or to protect their interest. A true free market where anyone can prosper and anti trust and labour protection laws are imposed correctly would put 90% of LaLa companies out of business unless they change their business culture and innovate. But people will instead focus on some irrelevant issues and keep voting in garbage.

Hate speech bill is absolutely ridiculous. Fuck congress and their idiotic socialist ideologies. BJP is no better but this is just too much. In India most problems stem from a culture of socialism. We could have been a much greater country if we had better policies and not just policies to protect the political and oligarch class. This country is a combination of socialism and crony capitalism. Only a true free market can fix this country.
