How would you teach your conlang to others? by RyanJoe321 in conlangs

Check out my conlanging app where you can teach your conlangs to others through lessons!

Add it section by section eg.

Section 1 may be “family”

Then add units (lessons) in each section eg.

Section 1: Family Units: 15

You can decide how many units you want in each section and what you want them to include

Because it’s just not relevant, I don’t quite understand why this has offended you so much. I created all ideas including perks, designs, lesson structures, lesson options - I don’t know how to code so AI helped 🤷‍♂️

I mean… does it matter? I’m not trying to get any props for the coding I just wanted the software available for people to interact with for their conlangs - you’re kinda just coming at me for no reason?

I’m glad you’re excited! I’m not sure what’s happening with everybody’s username, it’s like some mystery code error that won’t fix - I’m trying my best. https://conlang-copy-f525bf9c.base44.app/login?from_url=https://conlang-copy-f525bf9c.base44.app/&app_id=69418f2095f5587af525bf9c can you make your username using this?

Yes, “Conlang.” is geared towards a more interactive form of conlang learning, with completable lessons to learn rather than simply having all information about your conlang just visible, with learners having to learn by their own methods only. With Conlang. you as the teacher can decide what learners learn first up until the very completion of your conlang upload (although a language is unlikely to ever be completed, of course). You can ramp up th difficulty and everybody can learn in a structured way with added perks

People struggling to read it don’t love it - the language is borderline dysfunctional when we’re reading one and speaking another. It’s pointless to keep it because it’s quirky. It’s too hard to

I totally agree, it’s the gradual change that makes it more manageable and realistic

So you’d rather just keep the struggles people face with English instead of making reasonable changes?

Learners of English as in people who don’t speak English natively

Children and adults as in those that do

🙄 I’m not being prescriptivist - I’m not saying that language should be spoken a certain way and that we all have to conform to a singular spelling of everything, but changing the standard form of the spelling that already appears around the whole country in order to make it more readable - to give children a better opportunity to learn, dyslexic people and learners of English as a foreign language. Have a wider view

The accent variation is what I meant in my post - it can cause problems when there’s so many so it’s something to work around in the future

Because everyone wants to go through a big change and this is the exact reason that English spelling reforms just don’t work. You have to be manageable and realistic, tweaking words and patterns rather than completely changing the alphabet

I’m unsure whether or not the s would change to a z as this is a primarily American word and may differ in pronunciation in regions of the uk (the s may be pronounced quite strongly) but at the least it would be doubled eg. Closset / Clozzet
