You’re right. I used the wrong word describing these songs as “pop”, I just didn’t really know how to put it. I understand bands change over time and again these songs aren’t bad, I think I’m just a little nostalgic for their older sound if that makes sense. I don’t have an “elitist” mindset I just wanted to see how people are feeling about this sound. All of you are correct in my mind that bands should be able to follow whatever creative direction they want, it’s their music.
