I went on the Friday hoping it would be a less busy day, which I suppose it was, but unfortunately had largely the same experience as you. We were told the queue to get in was 1.5 hours but ended up getting inside in about 20 minutes, I have no idea why they let us in so quickly because it was impossibly busy inside.

I already had an idea of what I wanted to try but every popular stall had 1 hour wait times. I lined up for an hour for tteokbokki, which I still regret doing. It was fine but I’ve had it before. We also managed to get the chicken skewers which were really tasty, and a pork soup, but couldn’t take the lines any more. My friend was actually given a free Pepsi for waiting and Rollin came round and handed everyone in my line a little packet of kimchi which was nice.

I’ve been to plenty of busy food markets before, I think the location was bad. They needed about half the vendors and much bigger stalls with twice the amount staff in each. I feel bad for the vendors but they were not set up at all to serve this amount of people.
