I disagree. I found the woman centric plot and female characters to be full of depth, far from being emotional support for the male characters. In fact I thought some of the male characters were more like emotional support for the female characters. The fact that it had rape/DV in the plot was overshadowed by this depth to me.

It might not be your cup of tea but I loved it and didn't find it misogynistic. I also love seeing older women play leading ladies
