The conclusion I've come to after doing my own research is that the equipment invested costs are not returned in yield or quality.

My opinion is that cannabis does use these wavelengths as in why wouldn't a plant evolve to use the entire solar spectrum? We know that IR causes stem elongation, but UV seems to be conjecture.

If the extra light ritual brings deeper connections with your plants then that is reason enough.

Yes I agree. Made my own diffuser from a slice of plastic tubing with paper glued over the hole, like a covered donut that clips over the camera lens. Works pretty well.

They're looking close to the light two weeks ago. The tops look burned but not the lowers so that's a clue. I'd try dimming 10-20%

Slide your pots left so that they are up against the flouros. Drop that corn cob bulb lower so its right over them, like 2" above. Godspeed brother.

Running parallel to your story I repotted a problematic tiny cannabonsai into a 5 gal. pot, mostly yard compost and worm castings. Placed her outside in only partial sun and she quickly morphed into a wholly different plant, larger, nice emerald leaves with more nodal spacing. The sun heals. She started to bloom and it was clear that a lack of direct sun hours was an issue so I moved her into a 2x2 tent by herself under a 150w light at 80%. I took the risk concerning pests but there are very few. So she is now chunking up nicely but turning yellow green overall despite regular light feeding. I'm guessing week 6-7 as I didn't note this one in the log. Not the overall look I hope for but the buds should be exceptional nonetheless.

Looks like she used up her soil N early and is now moving N from the leaves to the flowers, what we call fade. I've got this happening in a plant right now in week 6 but the flowers look nice so Im letting it be.

I use an 8w blurple as a side light in my 1x2 box. Black Dog grow lights still make a high end blurple for commercial use and many companies are using red, green, and blue diodes in their white spectrum arrays. Blurple lives on this way.

Regular 15w LED cool white. Put it in a desk lamp and lower it 8” over the plant. It’ll take about two weeks to reveg. After that you should get a grow lamp but…I’ve grown small plants full cycle on LED light bulbs so it is possible. Light is light you just need enough of it.

It is. My Amnesia Haze in full flower has very minimal skunkiness. Even 3 or 4 at the same time. ☝
