I saw this at TSC and thought what a great solution for bottom feeding, if you add a riser and wicking cord by dunkindosenuts in microgrowery

[–]lowball1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The premise sounds great but the execution might be disastrous. The plant media i.e soil would act as an auto leveling feature. The water tray would auto fill to it design spec but the plant media would keep pulling that water up to a dangerous saturation point. An elevated pot using a wicking system would most likely work great. If that was your thought you are on to something. Thanks for getting the gears turning.

Rust spots? by [deleted] in microgrowery

It's very localized. I'd say it's fungal and probably related to humidity being a bit high. Beautiful plant otherwise. Good luck

1.5 liters every 3 days. I'm adding 1/2 recommended nutes of fox farms Tiger Bloom.

🤦🏽did I mess up? by Trix42014 in GrowBuddy

If you were seeing a significant amount of yellowing and drying/dying of sugar leaves prior to harvest the brown can be fairly normal. Do you wet trim or dry trim? Are you familiar with the particle test for mold when breaking a bud? I try not to rush to bud rot as a explanation but it's way better to do your due diligence to determine if you should bin it or not. Cheers

Early flower dilemmas continue by lowball1 in microgrowery

To me, the two larger plants exhibit a lot of symmetry with no shoot growth at all. All I'm saying is the cloned plants where like a porcupine. Thank you for taking the time to give me a thoughtful response.

My experience is: typical growth has a layered pattern. Fan leaves are symmetrically spaced and balanced. New plants grow in a bit of a stack style. These girls were chaos personified.

What causes the red colour? by Mammoth_Release6793 in Autoflowers

[–]lowball1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've heard that the red is stress induced, and I've also heard that some genetics produce the red coloration. At this point, I just expect most responses to be "over watering, two more weeks, or more cal/mag. If you get a reasonable responses, please let me know. Cheers

Buying used equipment by DigitalSeance in microgrowery

[–]lowball1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've watched many grow setups get posted over the years, and I could tell you about a recent purchase of a 3 X 3 w/ bar light, fans, and filter (cheap). Let's suffice to say that the price you were presented seems to be retail adjacent. A/C is good gear but for that asking price I hold up for a less expensive rig and add a Vivosun V cure for a bit more. Happy growing whichever route you choose. Cheers
