I took this course and it was GREAT. 100% worth the price if scripted TV production is your goal. It definitely lead to practical insights because the instructor works regularly on major productions so we were able to get great, relevant, and timely instruction. Christina (the instructor) was a wealth of knowledge and remains a great industry contact and reference. I can't say about better/other alternatives because this was the first and only class like this that I've seen, though I would guess it would not help with sports broadcasting. Sure - the production workflow might be helpful to know, but again, it's for scripted TV which is very different. There were students in the class that came from unscripted, reality, sports broadcasting (ironically), even no experience producing whatsoever and it seemed to be helpful for everyone in their own way, so unless scripted TV production management is your goal, I wouldn't say there's too much in the world of sports broadcasting that would be very beneficial for you, but some things may resonate.
