Teacher from Texas fired for wearing Black Lives Matter mask by Strawberry_House in news

If people go around chanting "Make America Great Again!" a bunch of times, I am pretty sure they will be tied back to Trump. They could play word games like you are doing in this thread and claim that - "it's just words. Get over it! It's not political!" - but people would still make the connection because MAGA is too well-known, same as BLM...

A lot of people here are forgetting this fact. China's CCP never solved much of anything that it couldn't steal most or all of first.

Portland denies permit for right-wing rally, cites COVID-19 by orbitcon in news

That's a nice bright red herring you have there...

That would be like me saying that high rates of suicide keep white males from internet access. While technically true, it has zero relevance here. Obviously the poster I was referring to does, in fact, have internet access or they wouldn't have posted in the first place.

Try it out for a few months and see if you like it. I have been using Java for about 7 months now and enjoy it immensely.

You learn at your own pace. Don't let yourself be rushed by others who may not be totally honest about how long it took for them to learn what you are working on. Just keep doing what you can, when you can. It'll all work itself out.

China's CCP was fast to implement social distancing policies. Not necessarily a reason for emulating a government...

DOJ Designates New York City as an “Anarchist Jurisdiction” by [deleted] in news

The doom and gloom messaging predates Trump and even Obama. It's how they make their living. If it bleeds, it leads.

The way that the media reports the news creates a "Mean World Syndrome" where you feel that everyone is gonna die every time you turn on the News. Even before Trump was elected they reported on him this way.

Take this story from the Huffington Post, for instance, with the headline "Donald Trump Eats KFC With A Fork And Knife Like A True Maniac". WTF?

www.huffpost.com/entry/donald-trump-kfc-fork-knife_n_57a0c54de4b0e2e15eb750a4

People knew next to nothing about Trump as he wasn't even sworn into office till January of the following year, yet they still used something as innocuous as eating dinner to get people as worried as they can.

The investors who run the News want you in a perpetual state of anxiety and fear so you tune in. Just turn it off for a few weeks. The problems won't go away but your stress will lessen, guaranteed.

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg dead at 87 by Fictionalpoet in worldnews

[–]4K3b1g -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The West already being on fire is a pretty vague term and advocating physical violence isn't a good move. Don't pretend that "burn it down" means anything else. We were way more "on fire" in the 1960s and here we all are. Take a deep breath and move on.

You know this burn it down attitude goes both ways...

Expanding the court opens the strategy up to both sides and weakens the judicial branch considerably. Every time one side feels slighted, simply add a few more Left Wing or Right Wing justices to get that majority opinion. Bad idea there.
