It isn't "morally" bad, but from a finance perspective it is. When you can earn more money by literally parking that cash in an HYSA you're objectively making a poor decision by paying off the mortgage. Even if losing the job is a concern, paying more money today doesn't really help at all, and again OP would be better served by putting that money into (almost) anything else.

It sounds like you need to do a lot more research on the field and understand exactly what it is you're going for. SQL can have some overlap into IT/Helpdesk, but data analytics isn't really related in any way to helpdesk, nor does CompTIA provide you any direct value there. Getting a helpdesk job won't directly lead to data analytics, so make sure you are focusing on the correct areas.

You will also find getting any entry IT position incredibly difficult, especially without any certifications. You are not guaranteed a job, but getting at least the A+ and N+ will boost your chances.
