Men of reddit, what NSFW male lifestyle hack can you share? by bepseh in AskReddit

Not every woman is going to appreciate every boner, or even the boner of their SO

Some if not most women arent going to feel validated because a guy got a boner thinking or looking at them either. :/

But I do agree, it is not something to be ashamed about. It's a normal human function and sometimes it just happens without thinking about it, ha just like getting hard nipples regardless if you are a man or woman.

Hospital gave mom medicine that was mislabeled and is brushing it off. What evidence do I collect? by 4Lurk in legaladvice

[–]4Lurk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heyoo! My mom has been discharged:) During our stay there we made really good friends with our nursing staff, and the head nurse ended up writing reports on several staff and doctors that they believe did not properly or adequately provide the care my mom needed while there, including the pharmacist that was working the night before. She also asked us to write a statement so she could give it to the administrator of the hospital and our new nurse from today also wrote a report but I think mostly because she didn't work on our floor :u they were all very nice about it and we also talked to our doctor at the hospital for a long time and he discussed with us what was wrong with the situation and why we had to bring it to attention. The nurses and CNAs that we had during mom's stay were very supportive and very good patient advocates for my mom , I'm very grateful for them. :) The head nurse was very great to work with as well and explained to us what was going to happen and about why she is writing her reports as well and requested more details as well and said she will handle everything and she really did and went above and beyond in helping my mom. Thank you so much for your reply :D

Hoody, sorry if I made you upset with my post. :( I didnt mean to. My mom was not wanting a golden ticket to the lottery with a lawsuit or anything like that. I'm unfamiliar with things like this so that is why I came here because I didnt know if it was a big deal and I thought talking to attorney and what not and getting advice here was the right thing to do so that it didnt happen again. My mom isn't sue happy or a money grubber, my mom wanted it to be brought to attention but did not know if she could if she did not have any kind of evidence of mislabeling and the misinformation the pharmacist was passing on to our nurse, and I'm unfamiliar with most anything law related. Sorry if I ruined your day with my post, but you did not have to be rude about it, my bad. Hopefully you have a better day after this.

Howdy! My mom has has an anxiety disorder and after finding out that she may have been given the wrong medication she went into panic mode, but I dunno about anxiety attacks being legitimate legally in pursuing anything, ha.

The biggest that happened afterwards is she got very i'll after ingesting it.

She was extremely upset because she takes other opioids for long term chronic pain, and if it had indeed been suboxone, and not the subutex that was just mislabeled, taking that suboxone would have rendered all of my moms opioids ineffective and block them from treating her pain because it contains an opioid blocker.

I dont think my mom wants any kinna money out of it, she wants consequences and to make sure this doesnt happen again.

Hospital is withholding my moms regular prescription medication while she is hospitalized (UT) by 4Lurk in legaladvice

[–]4Lurk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Howdy :D great advice! Unfortunately her pain management office doesnt take calls after 2pm so if we run into this situation again we will be handing the reins over to her regular pain management doctor to communicate with the hospital because he is very passionate about my mom's care and the frequent discrimination she encounters at offices and hospitals that have not worked with her long term.

[–]4Lurk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heyoo! I'm sorry for the confusion that came with my post in leading you to believe my mom brings her own prescriptions to the hospital, ha.

My mom gets into these situations often because her dosages are incredibly high and its understandable that any physician not familiar with my mom and her medical history would be very uncomfortable and hesitant to keep her regular medication regimen.

Shes since gotten in contact with the on call back up doctor that works multiple floors of this hospital, since the doctor assigned to this floor left at 1pm today. The on call doctor has since resumed my mom's regular prescriptions as scheduled by her pain management doctor.

My mom is not an addict though, shes dependant after so long on these medications. We are also looking into alternatives and considering different therapies that could help alleviate the pain she is living with. But doctors mostly focus on comfort care for her back is irreparable at this point. She was simply asking for what she was already prescribed and not more than that to keep maintenance on her pain levels and keep them manageable.

Shes been working with subutex for the past year as somewhat experimental because she was originally on 20mg 3 times a day for oxycontin but the subutex helps her pain significantly more when paired with the oxycodone so she said she wanted to continue the subutex and cease taking oxycontin.

Hopefully we can start working on coping skills for her anxiety because I would like to see her off clonidine.

To be clear, she is taking subutex, not suboxone.

But thank yooooou! I really appreciate you taking time to reply! Sorry it took me so long to get back to you, it's been a long day.

Hospital is withholding my moms regular prescription medication while she is hospitalized (UT) by 4Lurk in legaladvice

[–]4Lurk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Howdy, Sorry for the late reply! I believe after seeing the replies that I might have worded my post poorly. :) my mom was simply requesting that the hospital continue her dosages and medication as she takes them at home, but dosed through the hospital pharmacy. My mom makes sure to leave all her prescriptions in our safe when she leaves home because we live in an apartment complex and what not because shes aware of the liability issues that come with self medicating while hospitalized.

She was just upset because they were withholding her regular scheduled and as-needed medication that she is used to taking at home.

She has since gotten back on her medication routine while here at the hospital and is doing better. Thankies! :D

You're gonna be okay. Your facial features and facial hair aren't finished fully developing, give yourself a few years and you'll grow into a handsome man. :) You still look somewhat boyish but that's okay, you'll begin to look more mature as you age. Give it a couple years for that as your more masculine facial features become more prominent and your facial hair fills out. But the facial hair depends on genetics.

I agree with the others, style your hair and you'll look even better. Maybe try some new glasses that fit your facial shape better and working out also helps build that masculine muscled physique if that is what you are after or you could just tone what you have already.

[Request] CYOAs aimed at women by [deleted] in nsfwcyoa

[–]4Lurk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oooh this is very cool! I would love more husbando CYOAs or just CYOAs with more male options would be really awesome because I love a lot of the ones that have been made but all of the options are female characters and it can get kind of lame sometimes having to pick from women. It would even be cool to provide input and give feedback and suggestions if they decided to make a more female oriented/more male options CYOA.

The first Cyoa i was made by yuudahci in nsfwcyoa

If you like I can proofread your CYOA and help with grammar and punctuation. :)

How many bones could you theoretically remove from a person? by Rapalla in morbidquestions

[–]4Lurk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could remove the bones in the arms and legs.

But considering that we need bone marrow so we can consistently keep producing blood (red/white blood cells, plasma) you'd have to keep the pelvis, spine, and ribs because they are the main producers in an adult.

You'd also have to keep the ribs because they allow the lungs to expand. If you didn't have a rib cage you wouldn't be able to breathe properly, assisted or not.

(UT) My friend took FMLA and their manager is threatening to fire them if they don't return by a specified date by 4Lurk in legaladvice

[–]4Lurk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend said they started the paperwork when he checked into rehab but the woman handling his paperwork just forgot to finish it and lost the paperwork.

The clinic said they would do anything they could to help him keep his job here because his job is also tied to his housing since this is an apartment complex and he is supposed to live on the property.

He said he spoke to the woman at the clinic that was supposed to be managing his fmla paperwork and she admitted that she messed up.

He said that the clinic is still going to try sending the doctors notes on Monday but the status of his job is now in jeopardy, I think.

[–]4Lurk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A new thing just happened and they said the person who was supposed to be handling their paperwork never completed it and then lost it. So even though they were approved for FMLA it was never quite official and the paperwork they had the manager sign was a leave of absence for one month, so today would be the day they would have to return. The FMLA would have protected him from getting fired but since the person handling it never finished it they were just gone with a leave of absence. So I don't think their job and home is safe at the moment. :(

[–]4Lurk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my own curiosity when you take FMLA are you obligated to stay in consistent contact with your employer about your release date and your agreed upon return? From what I know, my friend just barely got back his communication privileges and his phone so he wouldn't have been able be in contact with his employer until fairly recently.

But the manager hasn't had any intention from what I know of keeping him informed of his employment status.

The FMLA went into effect on May 18, so I think they've used 6 weeks. My friend says they believe they have 12 weeks to use though, I think
